Re: Tundra

Would have been irresponsible not to. Indeed Don't expect lots of miles out of those. They're super soft. But way worth the $300. Oh, I didn't know that.. good to know... I almost scored some Blizzaks on my same OEM wheels for $250. They were 70% tread life. But yes good deal. Thanks. $250 is a goo...

Re: Tundra

Gotcha Wayno. I've never been around anything older than a 1995 Land Rover. My buddy and I welded up , and slapped on a roof rack with the usual goodies to accompany them years ago. Both were gas 5spds 4wds and were quite fun to drive , camp , or just run around in. Of course he took some of his rig...

Re: Tundra

If you use it, it's awesome. If it's just for looks, any ribbing is probably well deserved. Agreed. I already got ribbed before getting to use it. Had a few good laughs. At least it could be practical. Even if I have to get my co-workers stuck Ram15000 out of the fire stations lawn during the winte...

Re: Tundra

I bought this shovel off Amazon. I use them for camping , and winter on my rigs is all. Bolted it up with ss allen head bolts right then , and had locks/quicker disconnects on the way. It has had a generous amount of approval interestingly enough. Not sure I'll leave it there for the long term. http...

Re: Tundra

I could have used that last week. Took 2 hours to get a set of lug nuts loose on an NPR. Even managed to crack a socket in the process. Oh man.. that'said a true bummer. I bet it would have done ya good  Blizzaks are definitely one of the better studless snow tires. I would also take anythi...

Re: Tundra

Switched out winter Bridgestone Blizzak tires for the Bridgestone Dueler all season tires . I'd highly recommend the studless Blizaak tires in mild to moderate snow/ice (did amazing on ice and up to mt hood and other areas. Not a single problem ! ) Tread/compound is awesome on them as well. Price is...

Re: Tundra

11,400 miles should be "enough" to break in the rear diff. Dropped the fluid to look at the drain plug (waaaay overkill I know) , and pumped her full of Mobil 1 75w-90 LS Full syn (don't need the lsd additive since my lsd is not a true one). Very happy with the results. Drives quite differ...

Re: New Car Options

I loved !!! My old 91' Subaru soccer mom wagon with the ej22 ! Did nothing but oil changes and a timing belt/water pump (when bought for maintenance sake). A gay couple bought it from me 80k miles later and we're only pre-occupied with how much room there was in the back. I own a 2016' tundra. Love ...

Re: Tundra

Opps. Damn it. Gonna blame that one on long work hours.

Interestingly enough , the factory fob's also start/stop the truck now. Not the exact sequence of smashing buttons as toyota's. Uses the same start sequence as it does for stop,.

Re: Tundra

So, a couple of months ago I decided to make an appointment for the dealer installed remote starter. After (2) dealerships basically raised their price... I gave up. Went ahead and had a cheapy 1-way compustar installed on it. https://s24.postimg.org/qzhy995b9/IMG_0167.jpg ^^^ Works just fine. I lik...

Re: Tundra

Thanks guys , i like them (tasteful). Yeah Jacob those active suspension kits are kinda neat. Pricey obviously but made mine not do that annoying whip over small bumps and such (I don't carry weight in the bed except a 2nd spare tire now lol). Time to talk about my transmissions shift points for a m...

Re: Tundra

Also....flat will lol at this.....

I'm a moron. I didn't realize that after you put your key in the ignition...you flick the key forward and let it start (on a timer I suppose) on it's own. Don't hold it down. Took me 1,600 miles to figure that one out. Doh ! Bahaha. Literally ....live and learn !

Re: Tundra

I let them sit in the truck with the windows up nearly all the time (thinking the same) to no avail. Tried the hair blower briefly (ran out of time) with not much relief. Will try it again.

Re: Tundra

Appreciated. likely tossing bed liner. Appreciated. Used it to haul a 250lb bed along with misc. Gotta get line-x or armacoat (have yet to make a committed line-x appointment since I'd rather spend time seeing this chick). Slapped in my weather tech floor mats last week. Exception of drivers sill ar...
