Re: New Car Options

Think I spoke too soon, it's definitely the clutch fork rubbing the greaseless pivot ball. Luckily this is a spot I can actually get grease to...

Re: New Car Options

Y'all remember when I went on about that belt guide and the TSB Gates put out about it? Well, whoever did the timing on this last sucks. Besides the fact that it's probably been too long, as evidenced by the rickety Chinese cog and the tensioner leaking fluid.... It was also missing that special bel...

Re: New Car Options

Well, idk, this was originally supposed to be a donor... But I feel like it's too nice to be a donor, and I like it. Lol

Dang, tater that sounds awful. I actually had to get mine up on a flatbed. Either way, it sucks. Lol

Re: New Car Options

Figured I could provide y'all with some entertainment, even if it's not Datsun... I think the center diff in my Outback is in pieces... I was moving back up to Bellingham and it happened on the freeway in Seattle. Started with torque bind at cruising speed (any speed really). Then it quickly got wor...

Re: The "Retired" 510

He's already out there on the streets with it. I got close enough to asking so I'm good with it. I'll have another 510 one day. It's the first car I remember helping my dad fix. I specifically remember going to the auto parts store for a thermostat (that was hard to find for some reason?) Btw, that ...

Re: The "Retired" 510

Arggghhhh! Still with the MAF... It's official, I'm making a separate MAF loom with a plug connection at either end 😔 Besides that I got all the glass in and tied up some loose ends today. I have like 18 hours to make it presentable. https://i.postimg.cc/3xHFGL9y/20190503-233019.jpg https://i.postim...

Re: The "Retired" 510

I did hang the replacement driver door on my own a while back, with the fender off and the latch latched it's not too bad.

Bahahahaha. Just a couple bolts will fix it ;)

Re: The "Retired" 510

No, I'm not sure. Hahaha I really wish I could. I'm getting ready to move back up North to Bellingham. I'm downsizing a ton... The panels definitely dont look as good as they could. Very runny on the first two doors I painted. They almost look like they had a munch of grease on them. But they were c...

Re: The "Retired" 510

Well I said Eff it, and drug everything outside. I never said I was a pro at this. Lol. The new owner will be getting paint this year, the epoxy is just to keep it safe until then. So I guess 3 and 4 switched places... I'll give the panels a couple days to cure (covered), before I fit them. That'll ...

Re: The "Retired" 510

Well, I started it today :) No fuss or fight at all. It started right up. Buuuuut, the MAF and it's evil self are giving me issues again. There has to be a shit connection somewhere... I'm bout ready to run all new wires to the MAF from the ecu. Other than that, I just need to: 1. Fit the rocker pan...

Re: The "Retired" 510

Its a 21 gallon harbor freight special. I have an offer/buyer, he just wants it put back together, and he's ready when I am. But you guys Make me want to paint it. I just feel like the interior of the car will be treated much better, and the interior is pretty dang nice. Just feel like the car will ...

Re: The "Retired" 510

You guy's are probably right, problem is I've lost the motivation after I realized I'm losing the car, and the house, and blah blah blah. Hell, whoever takes it can have my compressor, paint and supplies too. They can learn to paint just like I was. I'll try and save all my pneumatic tools though. J...

Re: The "Retired" 510

Hey guys. What is this car worth in it's current state? I could spray another coat of epoxy and reinstall every thing so it's legal. Nothing has changed since the last update.
