my 2 cents on gardens - I've had a garden for 27 yrs and never thought of a raise garden ( different stokes for different folks ) cause I control my weed problem by only watering the plants and not the entire garden area (30x30). The tomato plants got a 3' dia dirt dike build around then, 2- 3" high...

Driven - I can get access to horse and/or cow manure, maybe that would help loosing the ground. hmmmm

wayno- yes, ground has never been tilled before aka virgin ground.

I've noticed a few gardens starting up here, might have to stop and ask 1 what they recommend.

Since the topic of garden has come up. I've got rich clay soil and the ground is a virgin for a garden, what would you guys suggest to help loosing the soil up. Sand ? compost from the recycler's ? Saw dust ?

I've been using old shopping carts for storing my V-8 engines. Just the lower section. I'll try and get some pic's later today. finally made it to the old place. As you can see, I've used chunks of wood to hold the engine in place. Really need to make metal props but been way to busy. Some day, lol...
