Mine was a 2 layer tearoff too. Ran a little bit more than that but they replaced some sheeting too.

My vote is to sort out the SUs. I feel that they are a superior setup to a single 4 barrel. BTW, I like Holleys but not on an inline engine when there is a multicarb alternative.

I think you'll find that HF chain hoist comes in handy for a lot of things.
