Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

I would not do good in this situation, when I build something I keep at it till it is done, not sure I would do well waiting for others I am paying to do the work, I would not understand the waiting in between spurts of work. When I put my roof on myself I worked on it every day till it was done, I ...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

The oil line for the vacuum pump came in and I installed it and have no leaks, it appears to be working but I will get a better idea once I drive it a little more, I still have to press fairly hard. I bought all the wood for the flatbed rails, I will likely make them this weekend. I am still trying ...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

I was unhappy with how high the flatbed was, so I lowered it an inch, that was fairly easy as everything was made the when I mounted the flatbed, so I just made 6 new blocks out of 2X2 metal and replaced the 2X3 blocks, the back two blocks were 2X4 so I replaced them with 2 of the 2X3 blocks I alrea...

Re: Around Waynos house

At least you're feeling better. I don't understand why still bleeds, maybe you got close to a vein or something. My uncle peeled back his fingertips one time with a car washing wand at the car wash trying to wash his hands, he was a dumbass though. I suspect that it has to do with where the holes w...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

So today I pried, well actually pushed out one of the LED red marker lights behind the Tommy Gate and hooked it up to the battery and nothing happened, I started tapping on it and it came to life and it has worked every time I tested it after that. The gasket holding the red light was really stiff, ...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

Today I changed out the power steering pump first, it appears to be better now. While doing that I noticed the zip ties that hold the intake cover on the throttle body had broken, so I made something a little better, as otherwise it will blow off under boost. https://s8.postimg.org/earkaxoyd/DSCN751...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Looks like you sent the brown dog to a corner, or is that where he lives, under the stairs?
I would guess you were tired after drilling that many holes, is fresh concrete softer?

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

Be careful, one day you will nod off and not wake up till it's too late. I used to hit the side of my head so hard it hurt trying to stay awake, one time driving back from Florida I started seeing double and I gave up, I pulled off the freeway pretty far, turned the engine off and I only remember no...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

This thing can be driven the way it is right now, but I don't trust the adapters with a lot of weight, towing with it is fine. I need to change out the power steering pump, there is something wrong with it, it drains dry if it sits, it also pukes out the top when I shut down the engine, I believe th...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

I wired the trailer plug receptacle today and then cleaned up the wires(bundled them) I have made/routed over the last few days, I zip tied them up out of the way where I could, I tested the 4 wire plug with my tow lights(4 wire) that has a trailer converter in line and they work great and so do my ...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

I am thinking I might be liking them LED taillights, the ones there were old but still worked great, and I was able to buy two more of them with the rubber mount rings at the local auto parts store, I even bought 2 pigtails for the old ones I had and they plugged right in and worked great. My tailli...

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

I got home late this afternoon and din't do a lot to the truck today, I mounted the trailer plug receptacle in the bumper this afternoon but that was about it. When I got home I pulled apart my air blower thinking that the flywheel came loose, but it had blown up, it appears that a couple of the nee...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

It can rain pretty hard over there, no small pipe is going to handle it.
I would be thinking some kind of wall diverting it to the side, or maybe a trench.

I think I will work tomorrow, I figured out if I put a band-aid over the two holes in my foot my sock and shoe don't rip the scab off.
My limping started causing me pain in my calves and back, the swelling went down and now I am not limping and I feel better.

Re: My 1980 Datsun 720 diesel dually

I decided to do a major conversion to the 521 work truck, so I needed another truck to use as the work truck while I do the conversion to the 521. I decided to make the 720 dually into a temporary work truck, I pulled the dually box off the truck. https://s26.postimg.org/k28vfgh15/DSCN7479.jpg I the...

Re: The "Retired" 510

That is kinda cool how the stock plate mount bolts pattern matches the booster mount pedestal/booster, you don't have to make or drill anything to install it, I always have to make a pedestal from scratch to mount a power brake booster in my 521s. A trick to getting the brake lines off is if one end...

Re: Around Waynos house

I seen 2 nurses and a doctor today, first nurse(LN), "you need to see a doctor" and she took me all the way across the building herself, second nurse(RN) looked and got me an appointment to see the doctor today, the doctor looked at it and got all excited, took a few photos, asked me what ...
