Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Metal roofs can be noisy when it rains, and you can walk on a composition roof when it is wet without living in fear of falling off. I would pick comp 99.9 percent of the time, but I would pick hurricane type wind resistant comp as it has more sticky tar holding them together, that is what I put on ...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Are you going to have some kind of wall between the house and the hill or is it going to be the way it is now? Is there going to be more cement poured for a driveway, and what are you going to have for access to the front door, a cement sidewalk, stone walkway, gravel? Now you are basically safe fro...

Re: Waynos work truck.

I bet Grainger would have new cylinders. So how would you go about that, I can drive there as it is at Swan Island, the problem is my cylinders have no tags at all, there no information about them anywhere on the cylinders, I have measured them but do not know the real stroke, I just know the cylin...

Re: Waynos work truck.

I used the dump bed once so far and the stuff slid right out, it was great, but now I don't get to talk to the guy in the yard as much. The cylinder on the passenger side is leaking, I drove around last Friday getting quotes for a replacement and the 2 I talked too said it would have to be reb...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

The uglier the color the longer it will last, pumpkin orange lasts almost forever. Once it gets dull you will get over it, I think the worst part about dark decks in particular is the trails that get created from walking in the same spot over and over, since it will be in shadow most the day I don't...

Not sure what you are talking about, but I use the light blue format as I didn't like the other darker format, I think the one I use is called something silver.

Re: Jethro Tull June 8th in Bend, OR! 50th anniversary tour!

I would have picked June 9th at the Edgefield in Troutdale, small venue, one is within a 100 feet of the stage as far as I could tell when I seen the stage several years ago. I certainly hope they take a nap before performing, we are all getting older and that band was hot when I was in highschool 4...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

I was more or less asking about mosquitoes in the summer when you would use the deck as it is facing east and in the wind shadow of the hill in the evening during a normal NW/SW wind, it is always some kind of west wind in the evening. The national weather service is kinda weird, during the summer i...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

You have a lot of mosquitoes in that area, or is it too dry.
At least they are working on it, if I was working on it I would likely be whining it's too cold, it's too wet, it's too something negative.

Take your time with recovery. We don't all have Wayno's ability to defy nature and science. I am not really sure what you mean by this statement and maybe I don't want to know, but I am defying nothing, I have side effects from carpel tunnel to this day, the night before last night both my hands we...

Re: Greenvanner?...

I lived in that van and a Mustang 2 when I could not afford to buy gas for the van for a few years, I had a job, I just few hanggliders so much(3/4 days a week camping) that I just didn't see a reason to rent anything, especially during the summer, food and gas were my big expenses.

Re: Greenvanner?...

The ad says it needs work, what does it need? I had a van like that in the late 1980s, I lived in it a couple years and had a gym membership so I had a place to clean up/take showers, I was on my 3rd winter when I rented a room in a house with two other guys, I bought that house 8 years after that a...

Re: Waynos work truck.

Well I think for the most part I now have the final version of the box on the passenger side under the bed, I decided that I could not pour gas out of my gas can into my tank with the filler inside the box, so I made the box door a little smaller and put the gas filler on the back outside of the box...

Re: Waynos work truck.

So I started this last night and finished the passenger side box today, I actually made it larger also. https://s14.postimg.org/u2vwoh3b5/DSCN7769.jpg It doesn't have locks anymore, but I can access this box without lifting the bed, it has 2 wing nuts with keepers to keep them from loosening up. htt...

Re: Waynos work truck.

So today I decided to get rid of all the automobile scrap metal I have around here, I loaded the truck up with all the cut up sheet metal I have collected over the years along with the 521 chassis/frame pieces and the cut up 1986 720 cab, I got turned away at 2 scrap metal yards(they wanted titles),...
