Re: Waynos work truck.

I had to let the air out of the front tires to get the chassis/frame with engine out from under the cab, the SUs and Valve cover kept hitting the bottom of the cab. I have been doing cab conversions for several years, but this is the second time now I have used the air jacks to remove a cab this way...

Re: Waynos work truck.

I lifted the cab off the frame/chassis today and started the floor board repairs. https://s13.postimg.org/7axnl94mv/DSCN7689.jpg https://s13.postimg.org/dbvcibyyv/DSCN7690.jpg https://s13.postimg.org/y8rkn04pj/DSCN7691.jpg https://s13.postimg.org/e1e4upexz/DSCN7692.jpg Welding on that crappy metal i...

Re: Waynos work truck.

I removed everything work related from the truck today, it is all in the 720 now, also when I connected the trailer plug to the 720 plug I wired in everything worked great, no rewiring of the trailer which is awesome. I removed the bench seat and then the floor covering, I threw that in the washing ...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

The trouble with open trailers is that everyone can see what you have, this is especially bad in larger parking lots where lowlifes can stand behind other vehicles and watch you leave to go eat or do some shopping for the weekend adventure, they then get a closer look after you are gone, call there ...

Re: LZ20 engine build

When I built this one I planned to have the engine mount uprights adjustable(fold up for storeage) but I got in a hurry and welded them on, I originally planned on the transmission mount being adjustable also by sliding a piece of metal over the rear shaft and welding the mount to that, I can still ...

Like I said, I like this "T" shaped cart because I can tow it behind my tractor.

Here is another MG engine, it also is running, you can barely see the front castor wheel in the first photo. https://s10.postimg.org/cqpa1stbd/DSCN4288.jpg https://s10.postimg.org/cqpa1vlmh/DSCN4289.jpg https://s10.postimg.org/vj155h561/DSCN4290.jpg https://s10.postimg.org/7s1rndcop/DSCN4291.jpg htt...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

I mentioned it because it would be a warm dry place, that one just needs to be clean, no oil spots on the floor.

Re: LZ20 engine build

There are better stands to have that take less room, this one I can haul around behind my small tractor. https://s10.postimg.org/b6fcpydmh/DSCN7663.jpg If I want to I can make a couple brackets that hold a radiator like my diesel engine stand, that one has two wheels under the mounts and a turning w...

Re: LZ20 engine build

I started this engine again this evening after I checked the oil level and it was good although I was hoping it would start sooner as it turned over for at least 5 seconds before hitting/starting. One thing I didn't think would work out worked out anyway, I am using a Z20 block with a L head, so it ...

Re: LZ20 engine build

If you were looking over my shoulder you would realize I don't really get that much done anymore, someone with a plan could have done all I did in 3 hours or less, it took me over 6 hours, I take my time and try not to make mistakes, well I try not to make as many mistakes. I actually had to replace...

Re: LZ20 engine build

OK, I had no idea what I was going to do today, I got up and made breakfast which I don't do that often and watched a little Price is Right. First thing I did was figure out the oil dipstick tube, I knocked out a plug in the driver side rear and I took the tube that came with this engine, I th...

Re: Waynos work truck.

It would have been a problem if I didn't know how to weld, but I have a couple mig welders, I used the HF one to fix this hole. I should say I really don't know how to weld, my welds don't look anything like people that know how to weld, but I over compensate for my lack of skill buy over doing what...

Re: Waynos work truck.

So I checked the Datsun inventory locally last night and seen there was a 1980 Datsun 720 at the Sherwood yard, but it had been there for 4 weeks and it doesn't say if it is 2wd or 4wd, so I took a chance and drove there and it was a 2wd/L20b engine, I got real lucky. I removed the cross member unde...

Re: Converted is back 74 b210

The wings actually fluttered a little if it was flown to fast, it was over a 14 foot wing span. I found it is easier to learn with a beginner sail plane, I just went to a foot ball field and threw it by hand and flew it in a straight line till it landed, then I would walk to it turn around and throw...
