Re: Mobi-Datsun, the great white tow pig.
So I got all the new AC in and attempted to charge it, and it blew out the back of the rusty manifold fitting. Cleaned it, put new seals in, tried again. It held and took a charge and I got 30 seconds of cold AC before it started leaking at the manifold fitting again. Guess what line assembly I can'...

Re: Betty White, the now not so neglected race car
So Joe fixed the original good P90A head, which has now been converted to solid lifter. Should hold together we think. Spent $600 on a fuel rail package with new high impedence EV6 injectors from www.protunerz.com in Canada. They make some really nice L products. They make a manifold for about a gra...

Re: Gracie II the D21
Alright, finally got my Z24 head block plate made. Dropped everything off at Gibson's, I'm guessing in a week to a month I should have the bottom end ready. I'm going to do final assembly, but they are balancing everything. Should be quite nice. That'll be the bottom end taken care of. Still need to...

Re: Gracie II the D21
Then I have to work on a VG. And I have to find a different transmission front half. Nope, it's getting a KA24E and it will be glorious. You will all see when I post good dyno numbers. And it'll be easy to work on. I can't stand Nissan V6s. They're all smushed together. Inline only for this guy, unl...

Re: Gracie II the D21
Nope! It will remain purist. Only because if I LS swapped it, I would have to change literally everything except the frame and body. I'll just buy a dead hardbody to do that with if I ever do. This is going to be a 35" tire 170 hp KAE solid-axle swapped hardbody. And it will be glorious!

Re: Gracie II the D21
Oh, it gets better! The #2 rod bearing on the motor I grabbed from pull and save was non-existent. We're sending the crank off to have it welded and re-ground. More expense, shipping to Michigan. Hard to find these motors that haven't been abused now. Good news is I still needed another rod, so I ha...

Re: Gracie II the D21
The machinist confirmed my suspicions today, crankshaft is junk. Trying to find a new or used 86G three keyway crankshaft for the KA24E, without centering ring. There is one in pull and save. Haven't gone to see if the crank turns, and wasn't looking forward to pull a whole engine but so far I haven...

Re: Betty White, the now not so neglected race car
So the track day was awesome! The first 16 minutes of it anyway. Started watering the track, the radiator overflow hose popped off. I came back into the pits and zip tied it and thought, oh, easy fix! Forgetting that it's a no pressure hose to the overflow reservoir. Started back up for the second s...

Re: Gracie II the D21
That dipshit has a trial date for October 17th. I may have to go testify against him if he's stupid enough to fight it. I don't care that much, but it's the principle of the thing. Still haven't fixed the truck, been working on so many other things. Mainly the race car. Getting ready for the track d...

Re: Betty White, the now not so neglected race car
So I've been updating Instagram and Facebook, been neglecting NWD. I have the race car tuned and ready for a track day this Saturday at QRP! (Formerly SCR) We fixed a huge problem of a factory overboost can on the intake manifold that I didn't even think about. No one else did either. Until we start...

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!
Hi there Hypnotiq, Fortunately you're not on Ratsun so you don't need a flame suit here, lol. I'd say General Discussion is probably a better spot, though I see you have another post in Events or something. The only person I can think of for 210s is Pumpkin Dave, but he passed away a while back, sad...

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!
Also, the RB dohc head is fing heavy! Like way heavier than the L motor. Makes me wonder why I don't just small block it. Because purist.

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!
Lol, so technically this only took me about 4 hours, not counting the 3 other hours I spent on getting all the intercooler tubing and the rest off prior to yesterday. The biggest issue is I haven't worked on an RB much. L motor sure, I know where every bolt is and how to get it out. Apparently there...
