Jacobs Other BMW, again.

Uh oh. I bought another BMW. The deal here is, The X5 was simply too nice for me. I was only going to lower its value. So I got rid of it, and made $2500 off of it. So then I went and bought another BMW for....$1000... https://bl3302files.storage.live.com/y4muzlBt8ciHy6zUEsgiWD1bxjndRs3NU8kkfbTOwblj...

Re: Jacob's More Newer "Wagon"

So that never actually cured the AWD problem, but clearly needed fixing anyways. One of the rear sunroof drains got disconnected, and leaked water under the cargo floor... where the awd computer is... So I replaced that and all was well. Only other issue I had was a windshield washer pump was leakin...

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

My BMW wagon with its gear setup hits 65mph in 2nd at 6500rpm. Before the 3.0 swap it was rated at a 6.7 0-60, the 3.0s 6.2. I wouldnt be surprised If its doing a flat 6.0 now with its gear ratio and motor.

Fastest I went was a tad over 130, and that was when it had a 2.5 in it.

The Mazda definitely needs its own thread. Pretty cool car.

How sure are you that the steel tube is actually straight? I work with long metal shafts all day. If it doesnt arrive in cardboard tube in a wood box, its not straight.

And yes, adjustable arms are a great idea.

Re: Jacob's other Wagon

Holy shit. Replacing all the bushing on a IRS rwd car sucks. Most of the time was spent dealing with that. Overall not bad, but so not fun. I was really hoping that another clunk from the rear would be gone, but no. I guess its the shocks. Just driving it to the street was noticeable how tight it wa...

BMW coolant does the same. And it starts blue, and turns green with age. You can buy it from Zerex G48. Its a modded G05 coolant. Probably very similar to the Toyota stuff.

You mean like the one I had holding the engine while I remade the crossmember? Well I redid that too. Grabbed some of those super long nuts, in the 1/2" variety. And drilled out the threads. So nice to have this Drill press for this, The hand drill kept kicking. https://bl3302files.storage.live.com/...

13.5MM is .53149. Really the only way to know would be to check the pitch. I still think its probably metric.
