Re: Something Different

Of course I had to include that one!

It was the only picture I knew of, if there's a better one ... post it. I think at least two others are well known, but I also got a kick out of the 215 roadster. I plan to post more, this was just a start.

Something Different

How about pictures of some "not so typical" Datsun engine bays ? http://www.acarplace.com/photos/white-zombie/drag.jpg http://www.sau.com.au/forums/uploads/post-271-1156229094.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk302/mistervelocity/008-8.jpg https://jdmego.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/snc12104.jp...

Re: The never ending project

It's kinda cool that no one knows what it is and the few that do, really like what I have done with it. I know what you mean. When I take my 411 out lots of folks ask, "what is that?" Some see the name Datsun and still don't know what model it is -- they'll say "I had a 510, that was a great car, b...

I'm surprised these haven't been addressed, but I guess it wouldn't increase the selling price or anything. Does it need a U-joint up front, or one in the rear driveshaft?

Re: New 79 KC for my dad

I believe it's a quick disconnect for the driveline/rear end. Thanks for posting pics, that's an interesting piece. Yep, made for "dinghy towing" I'm sure. I've seen Jeeps with lock-out hubs at all four corners, and other arrangements, but I hadn't seen one of these before. I knew about them, becau...

Re: WTB: 510 Choke Cable

Thanks ! An original one is preferred. Adjust the carb a tad richer. should help with cold start. Fortunately it's spring and it has been in the 50's in the morning. Two pumps work most of the time, later in the day it's not an issue. I'll have to check, maybe my carb is already a little rich ??? :r...

WTB: 510 Choke Cable

I lost the last inch or so on my choke cable, I could see it wasn't going to last after I rebuilt the carb. I looked around, but there isn't much available. I coughed-up the money for a pricey unit, only to have them refund me the money due to some " conflct ". That sucks, after all, it took them a ...

^ your truck looks great!

The best upgrade to my truck was four wheel disc brakes, hands down. Some will say fronts are all you need, but I feel it's worth the time and money to change them all over.
