Re: Around Waynos house

Ahhh, I went back and re-read the first post. I remembered that you inherited it but missed that you originally built it. Carry on.

Thanks man. It's a bit of inconvenience but the circumstances could definitely be worse.

Re: Around Waynos house

Really cool
You and the previous builder obviously spent a lot of energy on that.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Yeah, that's Supervibe. We were the last to be invited to a 4 car party last night. Nobody got hurt and the other 3 cars were able to drive away. Mine is actually still drivable but definitely totalled. The F150 i went under looked structurally unharmed. This was supposed to be the last trip before ...

Re: Around Waynos house

We're going back and forth on either side of freezing here too. Slowly melting off but mostly just getting slippery.

The track is really coming together. Are you planning any diorama details or just tracks and trains?

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

XT225 engine is in and running. I ran it for about 15 minutes. No noises, smoke, or leaks. If it doesn't burn oil, I'll probably just leave it in there.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Got the trailer wiring done and finished the inverter installation. https://i.postimg.cc/ryWhZXwC/20240111-135734.jpg I also addressed the sketchy previous wiring "repair." All soldered and in shrink-tubing now. https://i.postimg.cc/qRdrhfBJ/20240106-133008.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/XNGhM1nx/20240111...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Worked on the Venza restoration for a few hours today. Installed the hitch. https://i.postimg.cc/pTwv6sRP/20240106-111157.jpg When I pulled some interior panels to run the wiring, I found evidence of past rodent activity. I pulled all the rear interior panels and scrubbed them down in bleach and hot...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

This is the 3rd Venza I've had. This one is a 4-cyl AWD with Pano-roof and heated leather. Pretty unusual combination. My wife's is a loaded AWD V-6. The 2GR scoots! They drive pretty nice and are really comfortable --boomer cruisers. The back seat has pretty impressive leg room and reclining seats....

Re: Around Waynos house

When my parents lived on the river across from Sauvie Island their house was about 100 yards from the tracks. As long as they didn't hit the horn, it was mostly not an issue. I'd still prefer not to though.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Supervibe isn't officially retired yet but I picked up its replacement a couple days ago. I've been looking for a pretty specific combination of options so I had to travel over 1000 miles to get it home. https://i.postimg.cc/Hxdd3Fjt/20231229-162633.jpg I've ordered up some things to get it trimmed ...

Re: Around Waynos house

Sounds like a nice setup.

On a somewhat related note; I read that some areas of the south are setting up firewood banks, like a food bank, to help folks get through the winter. Sign of the times, I suppose. You're a rich man, Wayno. Even if it doesn't always feel that way.
