SPEEDS Auto Auction - Portland

#1

Post by METSystem » Sat Feb 15, 2014 4:12 pm

It's been a while since I've posted. I hate it when harddrives crash and you have hardly anything saved, written down and your own personal memory can't list it all. . . But, here we are: Speeds Auto Auction has this beauty coming up on February 18, 2014:
1983 Datsun Maxima Wagon
http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18935886
There comes a time when reliving your youth, requires the acquisition of a Datsun, like the one you drove in high school and the other one when you were just done with college. The issue then becomes. . . Fitting again, behind the wheel!

Sold for $690. Not bad. I even thought of buying it!

Datsun/Nissan . . . Who cares. . . OK, they don't have all the info up on this one but it is a Nissan Quest mini-van. http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18965485 It is however stated to be a "Non-runner" slated for the Feb 25 auction date.

Again, not much data is posted yet, but this is a white Nissan pickup, I think it's the "hardbody". . . http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18965542 . . . It's a "non-runner" too that is slated for the Feb 25 auction date.

How about a 1992 Nissan Stanza that is supposed to be auctioned on Feb 25, 2014? http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18965582 It says it "runs with problems" or might be a "non-runner" (you'd think they could tell the difference).

OK fine. . . Datsun/Nissan/Infiniti! How about a 1997 Infiniti J30 that allegedly "Runs and Drives" (apparently they can spot that difference!) that is to be auctioned Feb 25th? http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18965656

http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18965662 has no data at all, except pics of another white Nissan Quest and that it "Runs and drives" and has 165K miles on it for the Feb 25 auction.

And lastly in the Feb 25 auction is this mobile Datsun garage. . . I'm pretty sure if I widened the back doors some, made some stout ramps I could get my 620 in there! http://auctions.speedstowingauction.com ... _i18965694

It looks like it sold for about $425 with fees.

Tuesday September 16th has this 1983 Datsun 720 Pickup

1998 Nissan Maxima

There are many Mercury Villager's in the auction as well (same as the Nissan Quest). Just remember, the VG-30's had a problem with the nose of the crankshaft breaking off in that era of the Villager and Quest, so check it before you bid, assuming you're interested in those beasts anyway. . . :)

I like those Maximas. Roomy, nice leathers, decently tight interiors even after being abused, smooth riding.

I remember seeing that on CL many months ago. Was a complete runner but hit in the front (as you can see). IIRC the CL seller had picked it up at an auction  .
