Found a better tach delete plate in my stash so on it went but the gauges are on hold till parts get here

Image

So onto something else....

Right, the pass door that won't open from the inside and stopped latching all together after it got towed to the garage.....
Image

The guilt culprit
Image

And more waiting for parts.....

Judging from the last time I say your garage, I have a hard time believing you'd have to wait on any part for a 620.

Well shit....

Right after I got the gauges back together I remembered I needed to swap out the faulty speedo in the gauge itself so back apart it goes

So everything came back apart......

Pulled the faulty part
Image

Swapped in the good one
Image

And since it was apart again I decided to touch up the black paint in a few places and replace the clear plastic piece that covers the gauges since the one I have now is cracked

Should have a new one in a day or two

So while I waited for parts it's onto the next thing on the todo list!

Finish up the smog delete, conned a buddy into plugging a few holes I made in the exhaust mani
Image

Pretty???? No not really but the welds are functional
Image

Next was to find a solution to the broken studs
Image

Which ended in blood -.-
Image

But I got one punched thru, one more to go but I need new drill bits

Gotta replace the carrier bearing too cus
Image

But I have had this little unicorn in my parts stash for a while, guess it's time to use it finally
Image

Image

Mmmm NOS goodness!

Did find it kinda odd that the carrier bearing I took out wasn't round....

Image

Ended up handing this off to Nismodr so he can use his air tools at work to take a crack at swapping the new one on for me :)

He even brought me this tool to borrow, it's supposed to hold the torque converter in the trans while you reinstall an auto tranny - hopefully I can put it to use soon

What are you using to clean up that aluminum? Looks good. I need to do that to my fuel pump also.
