Family came to town for the weekend... Didn't get much done.

BUT I did change the front brake pads and do a little more triage on the exhaust..
I'm out of car money for another week or so but that gives me time to take a little more inventory on what I have and what I need.

I do have a windshield lined up and a plan worked out for the suspension. And I found a fresh rear passenger door seal in the garage so that's something to do.

Waiting for all new door seals and window felts from thailand... I've started making up some new window squeegees out of garage door seals, they seem pretty solid.

seems like I read where the Thailand seals were not the better ones to purchase. The Aussie seals were the better ones, even tho they were higher priced. Can someone confirm that.

Aussie ones are better, but way more money. Thailand ones can work. They work great as door seals because door seals dont see sun light. No idea about the thailand window felt. I do know have had a 2 different thailand windshield seals fail. The UV light just not play right with that rubber.

From my experience the Sunpha brand door seals from Thailand have held up pretty well. I do remember the window felts being just shy of snug in some spots.

I'm gonna let Kelvin Dietz order a windshield seal for me from the people he usually deals with, I trust his judgement on that better than mine and he's gotta order one anyways in order for me to get his old windshield.

PICS YOU SAY?! I'll post some in a bit.

I probably will have to get some of the harder to find rubber from Australia though. Sealing up the hatch is gonna be expensive.

Im looking for a decent hatch seal. I would suggest wandering the JY looking at all the wagons. I kinda think the seal on my BMW wagon would work decently.

I have the datsunlandsocal hatch seal (dont buy), I can show you what it is, and why its bad (and overpriced).

Harharharharhar
Haven't had a reason to be online much this winter..

What's up guys.
It's finally not winter, I've got some motivation, the car's finally registered( and lowered in the front) and I've got a Single 40 DCOE sitting on my shelf with a manifold here that just needs some jets and tubes.
Anyone know a good baseline jetting for a single 40 on a l16?

For the front suspension I got some split collars and cut the old weld off. Seems really solid already. Overshot some speed bumps the other day and nothing budged so cool with me. I still need to at least fill the strut tubes with fork oil though. It's pretty bouncy.

Weird thing happened once I started driving it again though. Something in the clutch will shift sometimes and it will start shuddering for a little while. It eventually smooths back out but when it does, sometimes it starts making a clicking noise when I put any pressure on the clutch. Hoping it's just debris...

I've also been working on getting the shine back in the paint. I think it's working.
