Yea its the same between leaf over axle and axle over leaf. The placement and the direction stay the same. I find that some get the direction wrong.

Sounds like you might have it spot on. Now drive it!

This is what I did..

Put my angle tool on the drive line with the truck on the ground.
That was 0° at the front of the shaft and the middle and rear.
The I took the drive line off the rear axle flange. That was 4°,Wasn't sure and went ahead and put the tool on top of the diff and that also read 4°.
Then placed the tool on the valve cover, near the end of it and that's was also 4°.

Did I put the transmission seal in wrong or something cuz I'm still leaking.. MUST have fucked the seal putting it on or before the washers to lift the tranny some. Other then that I'm not sure what could be wrong. There wasn't really vibrations that I noticed but still braking in the motor so I'm making sure oil pressure stays where it should, temp where it should as well as trying to hear for any abnormal noises..

Maybe make sure the driveline is balanced properly...??? Hm that should be fine. Could a in balanced drive line make shit leak pretty bad? Without a noticeable vibration??

I'm getting another seal and go from there cuz things should be fine angle wise.

Other then the oil spraying me in the face and getting in the eye balls the LZ2.3 is bad fucking ass!! :)
And my exhaust is no where near how it should be set up so it's LOUD as shit.... sounds awesome!

Currently Kyles 4x4 521 with the Z24 just has a manifold, a bit of down pipe, some flex tube, and a glasspack under the drivers door. Surprisingly not loud at idle. I havent heard it rev at all. I wish I had a picture of that...

Maybe you put the seal in backwards? You sure the fluid is coming out there?

It's possible you knocked the spring out of seal. Maybe not. My transmission has always had a small/slow leak. I've replaced the seal a couple times but it never got better. This last time (don't laugh) I actually pushed the old seal all the way in and installed the new one right behind it. So far no leaks with the double seal arrangement. I double and triple checked the seal part numbers and they are correct but the yoke wasn't a very snug fit. Not as tight as I would have expected anyway.

Backwards no way..

Oil is for sure coming out of the transmission.!
Like I said, I'll get another seal and see how that does me.

Soo. The spring was there.
But how about them marks under the splinedrive for the trans.
I took my seals out with this hook dentist tool... could them makes fuck up the way my seal preforms?

Gross.

Those bushing scratches sure look ugly but shouldn't effect the seal. One other thing to check is the yoke itself. Make sure there's no hole in the end where the splines would bottom out. I had one once that was supposed to have a plug in it but it was missing. Leaked like crazy.

Funny thing I was only trying to go down the street as fast as I can just to see how the road is.... The road sucks dick! Lots of rocks so it's bouncy as shit, going fast didn't make things better. And down I went! Haha haven't fallen for a while.

Also lowerd the axle on my truck on my finger. Couldn't pull it out had to reach for the jack arm super fast!

Going to lose the nail.

I don't know what the rest of you think, but that oil seal looks wasted to me.
This is what one of mine looks like, it's dirty and out of focus a little because the damned camera keeps focusing on the back ground.

Maybe it's possible I didn't push the seal in there far enough Mine had a tiny lip of plastic/seal showing, the damn thing didn't wanna go in any further. Hm. I'll get it flush next time.
But doesn't seem like a little lip should do anything.. mush anyway.
When I put oil in the trans I just filled tell oil started coming out the hole I was pouring it in. Then screwed the bitch up. Could I have put to much oil and it's.... to full?? Ha.

That is how much is supposed to go in it, till it starts coming out.
The fact is that I tilt my truck up on that side so I can get more in, so I have over filled mine without any issues so far.

Maybe you've been folding the inner lip of the seal a little bit every time.I do that more often than I care to.
