Dang man. 3 mpg less. But you are going more than those 3 miles in that hour so I guess it works out really eh?

I think this is where aerodynamics come into play. In a vette, you could get 30mpg, in a C10 15mpg.

I will do some measuring. Wouldn't mind having a second gas tank in my 720

I suppose I should keep this updated.

Made a road trip back in June I think. Drove the truck to Bellingham WA. Truck drove great, still managed mid 15's for MPG. Then at the end of July I made trip to the Mossyrock area.

New aluminum fuel tank installed in early July, with an Aeromotive stealth 340 pump(E85 compatible). Basically had to rebuild all of my fuel lines except the last three feet or so at the engine. Then I early August, I installed new gears and an eaton posi. I removed 3.42's and installed 3.73's.

I made a handful of passes down the 1320 at PIR with the 3.42's. Ran reasonably consistent 14.9's at 90mph. Was hoping for an improvement with the 3.73's, but didn't gain much. I ran it again Friday night, can't seem to run quite as consistent on the ET but the MPH is consistent. New best time is 14.651 at 90.16 mph.

Made four passes Friday night, my MPH's were 90.16, 90.06, 90.00, and 90.25. That's pretty damn consistent. Now if I could just cut a good light and get the truck to 60' a bit better.

I also ordered wheels and tires on Friday. Wheels should be here in 6-8 wheels. Not telling what they are yet. They are 18x8 fronts and 18x9.5 rears though. Tires will be 245/45/18, and 275/40/18.

I forgot to mention that I also ordered all the parts to get my A/C working too.
Vintage Air condenser and drier, Sanden compressor, Holley bracket kit, POA valve rebuild and re-calibration, Expansion valve rebuild, and a bunch of fittings to make the custom hoses.
Hope to have it installed maybe next weekend.

I've got a few pics of the past work, but I don't have the patience for Photobucket right now.

We have a easy upload here. Below the input field is "add image to post". One at a time though. But it works from phone or computer.

Moving on to the creature comforts might lead me to believe you're pretty happy with the current drivetrain combo. AC is a nice feature.

And yes, pics.

Getting them loaded to this site has never been a problem. I could not even get them to upload to the bucket from my phone. Patience was at it's end that night, will try later.

Pretty happy with the drivetrain combo, though I have not swapped in the new motor yet.

The attempt to get A/C is what started this entire LS swap in the first place.

I had a perfectly good working 350/350 combo that I was getting all the A/C put back onto. Decided it should have a good/better/new radiator first. That brand new radiator immediately pumped my transmission full of coolant and then trans fluid into the entire cooling system. Flushed that trans out with over three gallons of fresh fluid hoping it would not ruin it. But it was dead within about 300 miles. I just could not bring myself to pay to get a transmission without and overdrive gear rebuilt. So I was looking at at least a 700R4 or a 4L60E. And I knew that I wanted to eventually do a LS swap, So I just did.

Of course there is updates, I just haven't posted them yet. Mostly cause I still can't get my phone and photobucket to cooperate.

I have the A/C in and working. Factory dash control is now controlling the LS PCM which controls all of the normal A/C functions. Idle up, RPM cutout, high/low pressure control cutout.

I also installed new wheels and tires.
Wheels were a special order, custom built to my specs from American Racing Custom Shop. Took about seven weeks from order date for them to arrive.

So, maybe one day I will get Photobucket to cooperate with my phone so you guys can see pics.

Anybody know if we can host pics here from Dropbox?

On the bottom of each reply box there is a "Add image to post", try that, it just gets the photos out of my albums on my computer.

Probably, I drove Corn pass at 7am headed to work and again at about 8pm headed home from work. Though I don't remember passing you, but you have to many cars to keep track of too. Me, I drive the 68 pretty much every day, 50 mile round trip to work.

I'm pretty sure I passed you on Corn Pass near my house again on Monday night on my way home from my ride over Bald Peak.
