My old ride

To this day I wish I hadn't sold it but what's done is done. I'll definitely own another one at some point - probably a '68 or '69 with the tall windshield. Until then, I'll just lament the fact that mine is gone...

Thanks guys, it was a great car too - was pretty straight and rust free, drove great, just super solid and a blast to drive. I doubt I'll find another one that's as solid without spending a lot more than I paid for it initially. I did have some money into it, but it was mostly just cosmetic and not mechanical.

You may have been in the same spot before, Lou - it's overlooking Ross Lake from the North Cascades Highway (20) in Washington.

There was a group from the Realm that went over Hwy 20 this summer, I wasn't sure if you'd gone along with them or not. The area is just so nice up there - some incredible scenery. One of these days I'll hopefully get to take my wagon up to Whistler or one of the other great drives in the area.

I was reading that,The cruises the guys go on are alot of fun.
It gets pretty costly going to the mainland now(roughly $250 - $300 return)
So the drives or trips over there are limited now
Hope you do go on one of the cruises Tim,You will have alot of fun, good bunch they are

My best friend's (back in high school) dad had a '69 . I did quite a bit of work to it. Head gasket and brake work mostly. I remember it was hard to get parts for but really fun to drive. His wasn't nearly as nice as yours. I considered a U20 swap in my 1200 for a while but it wasn't financially feasible.
