Just saying.

If it needs it I'll fix it.
That's no biggie.

Thank you. I may have something here for you.

No way a ka weights 100# more than a 500# l series and trans.

The CanAm box is easier, faster and neater is all. Probably easier to trouble shoot if you have wiring problems too.

An A14 rad will cool a KA but not when driven to extremes. An A10 rad would be better but you really need some insurance against over heating. The KA is 20% larger and makes 50% more power than an L series.

L16 is 255 pounds
L20B about 15-20 pounds more. (Bigger crank and taller block)
KA24E (S13) is about 375 ish. (much bigger crank/rods/pistons, crank girdle, bigger block, monster intake/EFI, more valves and rocker arms)

Image

Lots of extra structural metal casting around the back...

My KA head minus the cam sprocket is over 41 pounds. I shipped an L series head, seem to remember 37 pounds.

To be fair the KA from a D21 will be lighter than the S13 motor.
My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.

Now I just need to get the owner of the next Datsun to get his ass in gear!

Fat510(twerp) is giving me shit about the A10 and saying i won't be able to put a B210 together if I couldn't even do an A10.
No part of that is even right.

As it sits now-I believe I'm doing super with the parts pile.
Still needed:
get oil pan/pickup from Jacob.
5 speed
Driveline
Rear gear.
Wheels from B-Keeper.

Short list. When I get her home I'll be able to really nail down the to-do list.

Eagle...can you post pics of the instrument cluster from your SL 210?
I'm thinking the A10s cluster might just work properly.

Well first thing the body is better(more worthy)
The parts may be easier to source?
You have a strong passion for the 210 more so than the a10
All pluses

From what I see the body is way better.
Adam has been super straight about the 210.

The A10 turned out to have way more issues than anyone could have seen.
Hell-After taking the power train apart I am so surprised this thing even ran.

Smaller and better things on the horizon.

Can't wait!!!

When I gave up the blue 521it was easy cuz it never was my truck. It was the builder's truck. I'm glad he bought it back.
I have been asked about the 210 also. "How can you own that if not the 521?"

Ha. I'm putting a new heart in it.
Putting the L will make that car what it is.

I really am getting giddy about this car.

I was checking that thing out when I was at Adam's a couple weeks ago picking up my Tshirt. That's a fairly well optioned car. I had an '80 4dr that was the same color when I first got my license. Tough car to stand up to my 16 y/o hijinks. I frequently get semi-sentimental about it. I'll be living vicariously through you during this build...if it ever starts.

I'm not getting Eagle's car. I'm getting Banner's.
Eagle's has all the options, being an SL though.
Banner's I have been told is just a bit more solid.
