So, many of you have seen my old daily, my 77 2 door sedan. From here on out I will call it the red banner.
So this is the day I got it, looked great but it was painted less than a week before.... so the rust popped thru right away.
Image
Since then I had swapped to zx brakes with cut springs preloaded for full ride hight, 81 high over drive zx 5 speed. And I welded ip a. Unch of rust holes in the chassi and floor pan.
Then I swapped in a good l20b I got from micro for .. I dont remember but it was a good deal.
So a daily faces alot of danger every day, and the red banner took some hits in the past 3 or 4 years.
So im on lunch break, took longer than I thought to do this post. Ill be back after work.

We are thinking about 2 different trannies, I traded that 83, plus some cash, for this one. The 83 had a bad 4th gear wine. So I told my buddy and he offered to swap me if I ponied up 80 bucks. Done and done.

To bad you couldn't have used the clutch that came with it  should have grabbed you the flywheel...

It was a good deal at the time, hopefully it was still a good deal after you had to fork over more dollas. I remember you saying it whined.

So the first time I was hit. I was at little ceasers and watched some kid pull in and take my door out.
The second time I was walking back to my car from walmart, and saw a lady pull in and hit me, then parked accross the way to try and get away. I parked behind her and almost fucked her teath up, it was very frustrating to see happen from a hundred plus yards away and then she tried to just leave....
The 3rd time I was in the back yard at my folks house and the neighbor backed across the road, up my folks drive way and into my car.
So all to getther ive ben out a door hinge set, a fender and 2 grills....
The neighbor was the only one who maned up and didnt try to deny anything, so he got off the best.
So after a long sit. She fired right up, and I drove it up to.swap some tires... and while I.was there I started pounding out the stock fender...
Wich has 2 layers of paint, stock and respray... and 2 layers of bondo... stock and respray... wtf.
So apperently I dont have pics of the before... but it was smashed, and bondo was craked off in several places.
After an hour or so I actuly un crunched the fuck out of it... creases and all.

My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.

Yeah man, it still was a great deal, and I still have that clutch woot.
I also got a 3rd 5 speed (81) from a pnp on a 3rd off sale the same month lol, I was on a roll.
Kept it for a year but this trans seems great, and I needed cash so I passed it on for what I paid for it. Almost put it in my 4 door.

Course id be into it 800 by the time im home... if it was crispy as fuck id get what... 200$ maybe from the right parts if they where worth a shit. Then 200$ scrap.... thats like 400$ for smilies. Thats a stretch for me. And then all the effort... fuck that.
Unless I can keep it in your drive way... ill just take the parts I want... and ill come back for the rest in 2 weeks.

Do it. It's maybe an 8 mile trek from my house.

Car is parked a ways away from their house on street.
You can peep without even having to talk to anybody.

Where it sits, it is in the shade for most of the day.
Only in the morning does it get sun.
