4AG's are stupid cheap, light and rev happy. But I don't really like SR/KA motor's as I'm not that into Late model Nissan stuff. So I was looking into a high winding carbureted engine.

What year 510 stuff?

I was thinking only the ZX brakes and suspension stuffs. I don't really care about the work to do a KA swap, but I wouldn't swap a KA I'd do a 13B/SR/4AG which I don't want to do on this car. I want a kinda period correct resto-mod thing... What kind of power can I get out of... Hell I don't know ...

Is the 280ZX bit a bolt in thing or chop/cut weld deal? I do like the idea of a KA but I don't want to do it, I was hoping there was a motor of about the same vintage that bolts in and makes power (I want to keep carbs, and not wire it for fuel-injection).

It's '78 four door, four speed car and I know very little about it (Datsuns in general)... Kinda lost on this what's a good motor and transmission combo and what rear end/gears are preferred.
