Wayno keep the old shoes and find a local company that relines brake shoes and have them relined.

If you can not find a company up there send the shoes to me and I will have AZ brake and clutch reline them and ship them back to you.

Wayno, I started putting my 520 on a 1980 720 standard cab today. We have the engine mounts welded in the frame and the engine and transmission set in the chassis. Set the cab on and notched inner fender wells for steering box and upper A arms. Checked my radiator and there is not enough clearance ...

my 1980 diagram has no headlight relay... but then again, I have 3 wiring diagrams for my 510, and only one even showed the automatic transmission wiring correctly. I just looked at the dimmer wiring. First thing to grasp, the lights do not need 12v and ground, they simply want a voltage ...

You are probably correct I will measure my 86 KC chassis and 19820 regular cab chassis to verify the spring center bolts are positioned the same. I also have a set of 1985 regular cab 4x4 leaf springs I will measure. I am thinking you are correct though.

Wayno I believe you have a truck that has a 2 wd 1980 720 chassis under it. Measure the front spring bolt center to the center of the axle. Then measure the 85 the same way. It has been a while but if I remember correctly the 1980 axle center is about 2" forward of what the 85 is. I am not sure of ...

Wayno just cut along the lines and ad to it. We know you can weld. LOL
