Yay for the RB staying. 300hp should be effortless for it really. I will just need a turbo for the CA to hit that. Really looking at the G25-550...
And yes, the CA has the same oil issue as the RB. I opted for massive head drains.

Re: Jacob's goon build
Oi, really need to work on the gas tank, but its so cold.... Anyways, I got a new part in. Its how I am going to have many gauges in the car without the interior looking like its some 90s JDM import with 5 A pillar gauges. Here are some super early pictures of what I am planning. https://i.postimg ...

Re: Laecaons New Place!
Did some stuff to the Lathe. I had to moved it (so glad I put it on wheels), for my yearly backflow test (I dont understand why I even have one). It had made quite a mess. So I am attempting to fix that. Had some left over wood, a nice piece of pine that was 12" by 96", perfect! Started as a metal ...

Re: Jacob's goon build
Nicely done! I hacked the top out of an old S10 tank and grafted it in roughly the same spot. That let me use common GM parts house pumps. I didn’t even think ahead enough to add a baffle. Mine probably wasn't quick enough to need it as I never noticed any starvation issues. Thanks! I was o ...

Re: Jacob's goon build
More progress! And progress that wasnt just like lego bricks... Onto the gas tank. First things first, I wanted to add a baffle. Hearing over the years about people using the stock wagon tank, most say they dont have too much issue until 1/4 tank, and then its really only on acceleration. The wagon ...

Running by the end of 2022? That wasnt my goal... but there really isnt a reason I couldnt do it... Hey, isn’t this your car? https://i.postimg.cc/HnzRSnJh/458-F0-ADB-B841-458-C-B6-D2-5-F4-C5-DAEAAA0.jpg Haha, no. I love that picture though. I think that car either lives in NY or BC Canada. I got a new thing. A fan shroud! and a Spal fan! Got it mounted to the radiator, had to drill and tap the holes for the screws. M5x.8 because metric. The unit is nice and slim and has speed holes. I did just buy it from the Griffin, the radiator company. https://bl3302files.storage.live.com/y4m2Wm ...

Also, it took Amazon 3 tries at shipping this. The first one got to the local hub and disappeared. The second one got to the local hub, and then something happened and it got marked as undeliverable... I was supposed to have this Wednesday last week.

VG34. Way more torque, and you can find a transmission that fits the truck.

Hey HRH, I know I talked about your choice of cams, but I recent had a purchase, because these havent been available for a long time (years). I got some Tomei USA 258 duration poncams (as in, direct replacement without need for changing anything out in the head). These are both 258 duration, and 8 ...

Well ok, that makes more sense. Also, I totally just bought that thing we talked about yesterday. I noticed Amazon sold 3 of the 10 they had, and it was less than $5 away from my target price.

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!
More airflow starts with a more optimized air path. A front mount IC will give more power. As well as getting rid of all Silicone bends, and welll as much silicone as possible. These will give the best results for any turbo or cam setup you have. But also, a bigger turbo is probably better at ...

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!
I just read threw since February. Sucky on the headgasket. Also, bigger intercooler is more important than bigger turbo. Also, NO SILICONE ELBOWS, they create airflow restrictions. Yes the butt dyno can tell. Oh and box off your intake, hot air intake is no bueno. Let me put it like this. The ...

I actually did something. More to follow this week though. First up, the differences on the motor stands. I didnt like the original ones because a washer of the engine mount was really really close to the stand, and it should be fully isolated. Made it a tad wider. https://bl3302files.storage.live ...

I did some other work on the car too. New brakes, and struts/shocks. As well as some fluid change. Both diffs and transfer case got flushed with some nice Motul stuff. Brakes, I used Centric GCX fully coated rotors, high carbon, not really sure what that does, but the grey coating looks nice. and ...

Yea, the Alpine speakers sound really good. And the car has the factory under floor subs... but they were not enough. SUBWOOFER TIME! So I bought the same sub as I have in the wagon. Alpine mono amp. First time ever using fiberglass. Needed it to save on space, Im actually impressed I managed to get ...

Oh, that oil pan idea failed a little after that. Im not sure what photos I have. But I still dont have a complete oil pan, surprise surprise. Here I had added the trap doors for the sides. https://bl3302files.storage.live.com/y4mVtwTRhBYUhJ_HLbfhvMPKwBQ1 ...

Re: Jacobs Other BMW, again.
Car smells fine. Also water came out clear. My guess is that it dried out during the summer, and then got soaked this fall. But rain fall has been a bit weird.
