Re: Gray Man, Inc.

I did the old Oregon BDR Route 5 with a couple TW buddies the week before the 4th. It didn't end as planned . https://i.postimg.cc/hXdhbMnd/20240625-085200.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/R3GmcnWt/20240625-151234.jpg We started at the California/Oregon border, then rode into the outback. We camped by an ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

I'm just going to copy/paste the old post text and insert postimage photos. I could see the photos in the original posts. This is bullshit.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

I spent some time going over the scabby tractor in preparation for a long trip next week. I was going to start by replacing the inconveniently located fuel filter. That's when I noticed that I'm an idiot. 20240913_095657.jpg About 2000 miles ago I replaced the badly corroded battery terminals. While ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Somewhere in the mix the old septic system backed up. I dug up the tank and had it pumped. When the exit line was opened up, we found it totally root bound. 20240707_132416.jpg 20240707_132437.jpg Yay! I got to hire a crew to drop in a new drain field. It was pretty well roughed in, but I needed to ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Over the 3rd and 4th, the ribs were still tender but that was about the only lingering malady. I wrastled the transmission swap on the Supervenza for a couple days. It was ridiculous amount of work. My dad was pretty instrumental for about 3 hours in the middle. The engine, transmission, transfer ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

We pushed north and side stepped to Ukiah for burgers and more fuel. Then kept charging ahead. There were several blow-downs that had us overlanding into the brush to get around. 20240630_081314.jpg Night 5 found us at Indian Lake. It had been a pretty short day, mileage wise and we were fortunate ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Heading east out of Seneca are 2 crossings of the Malhuer River. No stalls, no drama. 20240628_174223.jpg We pushed on, over Elk Flat, a burnt peak of about 7000'. Our end point was the bank of the Burnt River. It was a 13hr day, totaling almost 220 miles. This is John, he's 70 and just started ...

Filling in the missing updates... I did the old Oregon BDR Route 5 with a couple TW buddies the week before the 4th. Glad the medical stuff cleared up.

As for the Datsun parts, might as well unload and turn the useless greenbacks into something useful.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Absolutely beautiful morning here today. Motored the tractor over to my dad's place. I'm running out of covered storage here. https://i.postimg.cc/FswzrGNW/20240624-095130.jpg Got a panic call from my daughter this morning that her car was barely running and she almost didn't make it home. While she ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Chain and filter serviced, oil topped off. Gave it a once-over to check for loose hardware and got all loaded up for a week on the trail. I added some preload to the Bradley HD shock, then hit as many bumps and drops as I could find around my place for a few minutes. I guess I'm as ready as I can be ...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

I started to play with the Dorsett project yesterday. I was able to block up a storage tote to submerge the impeller. Apparently this engine can't accommodate muffs and a garden hose. I unbolted the control set and switch panel. It cranks over just fine but doesn't send power to any of the places ...

I assume they checked you out at the hospital. Did they have any prognosis? I'm hoping you were just dehydrated or something minor like that.

Geez, Wayno. Glad you're still around to tell the story, even if you don't remember it. Take it easy and heal up.
