Blue White - Radio (seems odd but thats what the wiring diagram shows...)
Black Red - Coil Positive Direct
Black White - Also Coil Positive, but through the Ballast resistor. Also feeds the Ignition on Fuses at the fusebox.
White - Turns into a Black wire at the fusebox, goes to Battery+ through fusible link.
Black Yellow - Starter soleniod

Beautiful. I've got the same sort of issue. This will make work a lot quicker, thanks.

For a 620? or a 510?

I can pull year specifics too.

I've got both, but it's the 620 that has some crazy wiring under the dash. I'm talking some household solid wire!! And a toggle switch and push-button ignition.

Man, I got that info from the PDF file. I needed to know which wire went to what port in the plug on the back of the key tumbler

Hope this helps someone else out for those who buy a 620 and the plug is cut off :x

I don't have a way to look up the B210 stuff at work to compare to 620, but I'd be guessing its similar to this, Jacob?

http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/p ... p?lid=4973

The DZ start works on the 510 and the 620, yet the wiring colors are a little different IIRC. Probably the same job duties across the cars just different wiring colors. The ALT wiring is the same on a 620 as a 510, and also the B210 so far I have found out.

So you need to know what wire goes to what port in the back of the switch?....

It's in the wiring diagram you posted on the other thread...

I think like this....

Just make it so the open port goes to the pinless spot on the switch.

Ehh, I was looking at the '73 620 diagram... Same thing though. It matches what's in my truck and Laecaon's pic. Although, the one in the diagram, pictures as if you are looking into the connector from the front (or the side that plugs into the switch)

So Laecaon's pic there; the BW to the left of the W is actually Blue White, and across from that is the Black White.

So here is my edit to Laecaon's. This is looking at the connector from the back as the wires plug into the connector:

______ BL/W _ W
BK/R _ BK/W _ BK/Y

IZZO, I am not sure if this will help or not, this was a 76 harness.

Image

It is, blk/red, blk/wht, blk/yel
empty, blue, white

It can kinda be seen it the picture, but worth mentioning. The bumped side of the connector is at the bottom of the picture, so it upside down of the diagram posted several posts earlier.

Yes, this^^!!

This is what the other diagrams ^^ are supposed to be showing.

I would have posted a pic of mine, but like I said earlier, mine has issues too.... I only have three wires connected to it. :(

I have three different 620 parts harnesses and this is the only one that has five wires coming off of the ignition switch and I know that it is a 76 harness. The other two harness both have only four wires coming from the ignition switch, one of those harnesses is believed to be a 79 harness as has the wire for intermittent wipers, and the other harness is a early harness since it has the early style connectors for the dash lights to the heater.

Do you guys need a 6" pigtail cut to repair your harness? I think that one of these harnesses still has a connector that is not melted.

I'm good, thanks. I just need to spend time with mine. Someone removed the ignition switch and put in a toggle switch and start button. :( I'm guessing I just need to find all the wires and put everything back together.
