Would it be possible to swap in a different column from a later 510 with the steering lock?

The switches would turn on the acc and ign power the momentary button would bump the starter.
this is what i was thinking.
one kill switch, then when that's on ill be able to turn on acc and ign then the button to start the car?
im way bad with wiring so you'll obviously know more.

but thanks

Seems like a lot of effort, and a lot of holes drilled into an original car.
You don't have a garage to keep that thing in?

I won't be drilling holes at all.
i would NEVER want to damage an original car like that.
sadly, there's already a few holes from past owners in the car
decided to not put a front lip because i don't want to damage the car.

and i do but it'll be my daily.
that's why i want it to be more than protected.

If they want your car, they'll get it.

I'd do the kill switch to the coil circuit and call it good.
Don't put too many electrical do-hickeys in place.

I understand that but there's some idiot thieves and some real car thieves.
I'm hoping to have a kill switch, quick release, and an engine start button.
That'll keep me satisfied for now.

I don't want to do a lot of wiring shit.
in fact, i have a ton of junk in right now that i just want to rip out but i don't know what is what for sure yet.

All do able. Could put a kill switch to the coil, another one hidden elsewhere to the starter wire, hidden push button under the dash for the starter. there is that push button start kit, too. Has a kill switch option also.

15 kill switches FTW!!!

You could always make a panel of toggle switches. Some right side up, some up side down, so only you knew which ones had to be flipped which way to make it start  Like a combo lock but toggle switches.

I think there is a Z car like that here in Oregon. Except, if you try to start the car, and you have the wrong sequence of switching, he has a second ignition coil to give you a shock.
