dude sorry bout the wreck .. do u still have Miata... I need a Miata tranny for my b2200 and would be interested n a 1.8 dohc motor if its the 1.8

i do have a transmission its from a 1.6 the bell housings are the same from 1.6 to 1.8 and i think they are the same internally, but i dont think you would want to travel all the way to georgia for a transmission lol. i But if i rememeber right the miata trans wont workin in the b2200 because the bell housing, tail end, and shifter position is different.

u only use the gear box and u can bolt the tail section and the bell housing from a b series tranny and its done ...

ah ok i was thinking the housings were diff but didnt know you could bolt the internals in, but i do know the internals on the 1.6 and 1.8 are the same for the miata trans.

today i actually got to drive the car for the first time with the ka in it, still need to get exhaust made and fix the idle issue but atleast it moves under its own power now. :D

got an exhaust manifold from a freind and put it on today after about 30 min of grinding.

now ive got to clean up the engine bay and paint it, then get all the bits and pieces that im missing for the engine.

it has a jvt tag on it i had to cut and grind the O2 bung off of if to clear the steering box in the 510. I just got a bolt the had the same threads as the O2 location and threaded it in until it bottomed out and then cut what i had to cut out and grind to make it fit. but it clears the steering box now, the side bung for the o2 has to be cut/grinded pretty much flush with the piping to clear the stock 510 steering box. ill get some pics of it later on when i have some one with a camera around, mines not ground all the way and i still have a few millimeters of clearance but it would be better if i had done away with the port to begin with.

surprisingly there are no mafs on cl any where near me lol, but the 510 is sitting outside for awhile a friend needed a place/help to swap his motor so ive been doing this..

finally found a maf for it then get everything back on, crank it up and it starts throwing knock sensor code.. :fuu: so i replace the knock sensor with one from another block i have still same thing... turns out the sub harness from the sensor to the main wiring harness had fried somehow. cleaned up the engine bay and sprayed what i could get to with the engine still in, made it look much better even tho there's still some spots that aren't painted yet.
hopefully ill be pulling it soon to sand and paint the whole bay.
