Only took a week. Dealt with a couple absolute fucktards that made me really think about raising the price just to weed them out. The kid who bought it seemed really cool so I cut him a little price break just so I could get it over with. He lives just down the street and I could tell he was going to treat it right. Still, the profit should cover my next tool purchase. Stay tuned...

Killed some time in the shop this afternoon while avoiding work that actually needed to be done. Buzzed off some of the old paint, caked on bondo splatter and a couple emblems that had been stuck on. Then hit it with a can of gloss black engine enamel. Hopefully it holds up in a working shop environment. I'll take it to work and use it to store odds and ends. Probably keep bottles and cans on the top. I know, nothing special. Just thought I'd bump the thread.

So here's what the S-10 profit got me...

Hobart Handler 210 MIG and matching plasma cutter on the bottom shelf. Even picked up a new cart, gloves and helmet. Still have a little money left over too.

Paid my boss $800 for the package. He bought both used and paid $1400 for the pair. I think I did okay.

Haven't wanted to get out to the shop as much as I should. It's cold out there and I'm a big baby. The boss bought a new furnace for the main shop at work and I bought the old one from him.

Why is it awesome? Free fuel :fu: .

Not shown is the 250 gallon tank that came with it. More pics when I finally get this heavy bastard up in the air and plumbed in.

It'll be nice. It weighs about 300 pounds and I need to get it about 10 feet in the air. Chain hoist from the rafters maybe?

I took the Cutlass for a 3 hour drive last weekend to pick this up for my dad.

Supposedly it was rebuilt several years ago and put on a shelf. Got it for less than the cost of rebuilding his old one.

Okay, here's the lame update...
I joined Garage Journal a couple months ago. It's a pretty cool forum but has a ton of traffic. For example, I started a garage thread, which was essentially a cut and paste of the Compound thread, and it had 2000+ hits in the first 24 hours. Consequently, I maxed out my Photobucket traffic which made all my pics on ANY forum I posted to unviewable. My options were; (A) Pay to upgrade PB, (B) Join another hosting site which means having to transfer ALL my photos and repost, (C) Delete all my PB links on GJ and do direct uploads as attachments, since that forum supports that function. I decided on the last option. So I've been going back though all my posts there and deleting the PB, adding attachments, and trying to edit the text for continuity. Total PITA but at least my posts here should be back to normal once my PB account resets in a couple weeks. I appreciate your patience.

My dad was in town weekend before last and helped me get the furnace (mostly) set up. We used a chain hoist to get it up on the ledge. Cleaned, repainted, and placed the oil tank. Wired the burner, fan, pump, and thermostat. Plumbed the oil supply side. However, we ran into a roadblock on the vent/chimney side. Nobody that was open on Sunday had any double-wall pipe. My dad agreed to stay an extra day and hit the fireplace shops Monday morning. I got a text from him saying he was about to pay for the stuff and it was $640. Whoa! Abort mission! That's over $100/foot. I'll be watching CL for some used pipe.

Update on Compound East (Idaho); Bricklin was sold and went to the east coast. Fierro was sold and went to Arizona. My dad bought another '68 VW camper. It just got here from New Hampshire so I have no pics yet.

The compound is officially splintered at this point. My brother is pretty tied up with his new job and my dad lives in Idaho now. This thread is officially lame until PB resets. It should be the 17th according to my join date. Gayer than cum on a mustache.

Hope I didn't go to far with my illustration on just how much I dislike PB. :x
