Rear axle/Complete needed

#1

Post by izzo »

Anyone have a complete rear axle to donate to the cause? (I'm effin broke)

It will be going on a 1980 720. IDK what gears I have now. Rear end sounds good, but there is a slight wobble. I have had the drums turned, new shoes, one new cylinder. Seemed to calm it down a bit but didn't eliminate it. Thinking either the drums are warped somehow or the axle may be bent?? IDK. It's been like that for 8 years now....

Anyone. If someone has one they don't mind hooking me up with that would be tits. I can give you mine if you were after the third member? I'll try and see what ratio it is if anyone actually can hook me up.

Could be bent wheel or bad leaf spring bushings.

I think its the drums possibly. I can feel it when i hit the brakes, too. The wheels have been changed 3 times since i've owned it. With a drum being bad that long I bet the bearing is probably no good. but it doesn't leak fluid. IDK what it is for sure.

When ever I have a pulsing brake pedal, it seems to always be something stuck on the front rotor on one side or the other, it happens to me because the truck sits to much I think, it's happened more than once, but it drives smooth, just an issue when I hit the brakes.

New pads, new rotors, new wheel bearings up front. I don't think its the fronts.
