Re: The never ending Project(s)
I haven't seen one of those in a long time. If it runs right it'll last forever.
Maybe it's te pessimist in me, but I always have a hard time believing the miles are "original" when there is only a 5 digit odometer. Just because that's all you can "see" doesn't mean that's all there is.
Damn it is clean though.

Re: The never ending Project(s)
Usually when a 5 digit odo has gone over the first digit is a bit off,as far as I have noticed in the past
the 7 seems to be just where it should be if not rolled over

Re: The never ending Project(s)
Yeah, with the interior the way it is, body shape, clean engine (which has probably been cleaned) I believe its a 78k car.
And you're right, they are usually off just a smidge. We are shooting for this weekend. I dig the oil filter change, engine oil change, and tire rotation change lights lol.
It would be a shame to touch a survivor. I know it won't really go any faster. But these things can be a problem. When they work, they work great. once you have issues, they are such a pain. these from what I've seen are some of the worst carbs to work on. so many parts and such. A fine tuned weber would suit it fine. Plus, look how many hoses are on the carb itself. You imagine having to replace all those? Good lord. The engine bay could be so much cleaner and easier to work around without it there.
Also, if it shows up! I found some info. these run a really odd 4x120 lug pattern. Almost unheard of, no aftermarket rims can be easily found. A few parts swap and a few hundred buckets later and it will be 4x100 lug pattern with 4 wheel disc brake, all honda parts. This would be a fun daily/toy
I pulled out my MR2 seats today. If she comes here it will be getting the Yota seats. This thing needs moar lower.

Re: The never ending Project(s)
"I heard a clunk and some grinding"
Fuck, haha. Brakes musta let loose. Sure as shit. Luckily not really much damage to rotor. Will replace next payday.
Ordered brake parts yesterday when I received the text. Went to install them, they didn't fit... WTF? Oh, thanks china for not having any sort of tolerance or quality control. These weren't even the cheap pads. Damn it. Had to file them down. Oh well. new pads.
So, I have went over everything on the 210. I am throwing some new rotors on it, and some new steering links. After than a full tune up and all it will need is a real exhaust put on it. But, I dunno if I am taking it that far. It's time for this thing to go. had it long enough. Runs amazing. All the little bullshit things will have been replaced as of next payday. But, 4 doors fit more whores. so It's about time for this to go and get something moar roomy.

She does driven lol. Same here Jacob.
I investigated. It's a new spot. It's just old. Still not good to be slamming pot holes .
Stay tuned for home made ghetto rigged pics.
I'm going under the car in a few minutes to come up with a game plan.

Re: The never ending Project(s)
It broke in a new spot. So... I pulled it all out.
I don't have the means to take it in right now. But I can't just have it dumping out under the car either. It's loud. So, Tomorrow morning I need to take the down pipe over to the auto place and get some couplers or whatever and maybe a few odds and ends. I have to bring her to work today, and tomorrow since I am working on the car. It's a pain in the dick. Anyways, while I'm in seaside I am going to bring my bits and pieces into the muffler shop down there and piece together something I can take home and weld. probably going to buy a 16" resonator and then dump this exhaust right out the side
I'm going to love the sound of that open A series into a resonator. FFF YEAH! But the gf gonna be like
Side note. one of the exhaust studs broke off. What a surprise! Ahahha, not... I was all bummed. Thinking of ways to fix it. Luckily it was just the tip that broke off (giggity). I couldn't get the nut on, but the threads looked ok from what I could see.... Then I remembered.... I done got some tools for my bday. including a tap and die set. The tips of the dies are tapered, so I lined it up on the broken exhaust stud, then tightened it hoping for the best. What do you know... It smoothed out the effed up threads perfectly. now I can run the nut on there and its super smooth like it should be.
Braaap

Re: The never ending Project(s)
It does. And at first I was pissed. But, finally the immaturity wore off. It's part of owning a car. I would much rather dump it at the exhaust shop and say "Fix it" but, I can't right now.
I'll update with pics tomorrow once I get her together.

Re: The never ending Project(s)
Goto store and get parts.
Remove paint to lay some beads
test fit this n that
Mocked it up in the car, marked it with a marker, pulled it back out for welding
And installed. I must say, this thing sounds sick. Love it so much it makes me want to drive it instead of my truck. I keep starting it and jazzing the throttle. Vids tomorrow. Probably won't sound as good as in person, tho.
I'll try and get a pic of it installed. but it was almost 9 so I shoved it back outside to close the garage and get inside. Pissing sideways out and windy too. Only things left is install a strap or something to secure the end of it up so the weight isn't all on the manifold. then remove what's left of the old muffler. The muffler is still back there along with the bend over the axle etc.

Re: The never ending Project(s)
91 GS hatch. 220k. Head was rebuilt last year, after inspecting it, I see new gaskets so I do believe the head was off, no paper for proof tho. I'll know once I replace the valve cover gasket.
I was just going to sell this, but the GF is kinda digging it. It's an automatic. Sun roof, AC, power steering power windows/locks etc etc. It has everything, other than a manual transmission haha.
Parts list
CV Axles
Tires
Windshield is cracked but I have a new one for it -- Will need to price out someone to install it.
There is a super small crack in the radiator. they are 100 new, or I can find one used. Found one in salem for 30 bucks. Problem is, it's in salem... Thats a long drive.
Putting on all new belts - Alternator PS AC
Spent a few hours cleaning it up. Has new pads on the front -Backs seem OK but didn't inspect that well. Ball joints and tie rods seemed ok except for one tie rod end, Very easy to get to. should get an alignment anyways.
Has a decent system in it. Head unit anyways, pioneer cd with blue tooth which works good, has microphone. All lights/gauges work, door alarm, seat belt alarm. Driver side retractable seat belt is stuck in the door open position. I may disconnect the wiring for it and make it stay in the back position once I get some time. IDK..
Doesn't seem like a bad little car... Needs some maintenance that's been obviously lacking then should be OK I think. Fuck I enjoyed driving it man, even being an auto. It has a "Sports Mode" on the tranny. Changes the shift points... Got one tire to light up and smoke, before I knew it I had hit 120 on the backroads. She scoots. I'm used to my truck with NO BALLS haha.

Re: The never ending Project(s)
Yours is a step up from mine. Mine's a 91 LS 5 speed. 136k. Engine is alot stronger than I thought it would be. This one needed stuff that was neglected too. Timing belt was changed already so that made me feel better. Everything under the valve cover looked good.
If you ever need a starter they are 90 & 91 year Acura specific. I don't know why. And the bottom bolt is a bitch to get to.
Behind the passenger side kick plate is where you will find the control box for the seat belts. The top has a pin that holds it on. Pop it out & pull it up from under the door sill trim. Unplugging the green wiring connector will shut the auto belt system down. My drivers shoulder receptacle is where it should be when you're driving so I manually clip it. The lap belt receptacle won't latch so it dings constantly. That's why I unplugged mine. I just haven't been to a yard yet to get one & I can't find one on rockauto.
I have no stereo and the car is loud as hell but since it's a manual shift roller skate I find myself jumping in this more often than my Pathy.
You're absolutely correct, it is fun to drive.
