Maybe it's all the Datsuns and not the lights that they are staring at.

I got bored today, so I planted/made a tree.

I might decorate it Monday with multi colored lights.

Very cool! Looks good around your place.

I opted not to put up lights this year. But do have a tree. :)

I put multi color lights on it today, I don't know what I was expecting, but it didn't turn out like I thought it would, but the neighbor likes it better.
I expected that the different color lights would stand out better, so I guess I should have bought bigger lights, that is probably what I wanted, but what is done is done.
The tree shape is cooler though, and it does look better with more colors than straight green too, just not what I wanted.

I used to think about doing this as I had an inverter in the work truck, but I got over it.
The thing I would like to do is put lights on my water wheel, it would be cool to see it turning at night with Christmas lights on it, but the only lights that would work have batteries, and they are for indoor use only, it's not worth the money for 5 minutes.
I suppose I could use the type of lights that bicyclists use, but they are not Christmas lights, they are just flashing lights that would be out of place.
Last year I put lights on the water features(I didn't take photos), but I have not done that so far this year, I would if I had lights on the water wheel itself.
The only reason I put lights up at all is because one of my customers gave me a bunch of icicle lights, and another one gave me a bunch of the C9 string type, so I ended up with this a few years back, I got bored this year.

So I am going to try and post a video of mine here, I hope this works.

I cannot figure out how to post it as a video, how do I do it instead of a link?

So I put 28 bad tires in the back of my truck, I was planning on taking them to recycling to get rid of them, they seemed to be the cheapest avenue to go, so on my way there I seen a Les Schwab outfit that was on my right and I thought why not see how much they wanted to take them, so I pulled in and got out of my truck and started walking towards the office and I heard my name called, it was Justin, I heard that he had a job at one of them, and it turned out to be this one.
He asked me how my holiday went and then what I wanted, I told him I had these tires to get rid of and asked how much, he sent me in the office, while I was talking to the guy in the office about what a truck tire was, Justin walked over and told the guy the were all car tires, so it cost me $56.00 to get rid of them.
It was cheaper than the recycling place because of Justin I believe, he helped me put them in the trailer and we talked while doing that, then he had to get back to work.

Thankyou Justin!!!

No problem Wayne!
Hey I looked into that ground wire you told me about, I found exactly the one, kinda hard to explain where it is but I can stop by soon and show you? I grounded it and the truck seems to be running better, it may be all in my head though...

You can come by, but it is dark, although it is not raining for a change.

It's snowing outside, I don't like snow, it makes the roads parking lots, if they cannot keep moving, they should not be out there.

I've been forwarding leads over to you regarding the 521 for sale. Any bites yet?

It's a fantastic start for someone wanting a truck!

I have had a lot of tire kickers over the past half year when I had it on craigslist for $2000.00, but they all just want a cheap running vehicle.
I slashed the price for it for here, I will put it up on craigslist in January some time for somewhere around $1300.00 for a month maybe, if it don't sell I have a backup plan, but I really just want it to go away.
I am cleaning up around here, getting rid of stuff I don't use anymore unless I have a plan for it, once I have everything inventoried I believe I will start selling things that I have collected over the years that I am sure that I will not use, I have a lot of stuff.
I already am putting stuff on craigslist, but it really isn't a great time for that, it's Christmas after all.
I have been burning water soaked wood around here all day, I mean all day too, I had wood everywhere, rotten bird houses, vine plant grow frames, an old wood cable reel, wood from all sorts of things I made, used and finally tore down, if it was wood and was still around, it's getting burned.

The barrel doesn't have a bottom, so once it burns out, I will scoop the ashes into the garden.

Well I am still burning scrap wood, and have been for 3 days now.
While I was looking around for more wood to burn, I found these, 2 starters(1 L block type, and one Z block type), I tested them and they both seem to work, I have so much shit around here that I forget what I have.
Image
I also found these alternators, I am assuming like the starters they are good, they appear to be internally regulated off a napZ engine I would assume.
Image
I am trying to clean up around here and get rid of stuff I don't need or use.
I don't know what to do with this contraption, can any of you guess what it is?

Is it for holding tires open so you can grind and patch from the inside?

That is correct.
I will never use it, and I doubt anyone would ever buy it from me either, that is old school equipment, so old that no one uses this type of equipment anymore.
I might look at using the air cylinder part of it for a press or something like that, and sell the rest as scrap, freaking thing is heavy.
