That is correct.
I will never use it, and I doubt anyone would ever buy it from me either, that is old school equipment, so old that no one uses this type of equipment anymore.
I might look at using the air cylinder part of it for a press or something like that, and sell the rest as scrap, freaking thing is heavy.

the shop I worked at had one of these. But it was just the jaws and they were manually operated. That's all you really need. That thing is over the top!

I am taking offers on it, but like I said, I was thinking about using the air piston/cylinder for something else.
I don't think it has the throw for making a dump bed, but it might work on a press.

Well I put the tire spreader on craigslist, I have not had even a question from anyone, although I am not sure if I have the correct search words, actually I don't have any words at the bottom.
I looked at it, and turning it into something else i could use would be a challenge, it's kinda purpose built, so it will sit in the shed a while longer.
I have not been getting any Datsun work done, I am kinda cleaning up around here the hard way, meaning I have collected sliding windows/doors and such stuff over the years, so instead of throwing them away(easy), I am sort of enclosing my patio awning, I did real good till this morning, I didn't spend a dime and used 4 sliding window assemblies and one sliding door using scrap wood I have around here, but to fill stuff in to make it look proper, I bought and used 3 pieces of 3/8ths plywood and one 14 foot 2X4, it actually looks decent, but I have run out of wood again and will need two 12 foot 2X4s, and about four 8 foot 2X4s to use another very large solid window, and that will take care of all the pre-made windows I have, I still have a lot of glass sheets around here, but they don't take a lot of room up like all them other windows did.
Now that all the windows are gone, and all them gas tanks I had are cut in half so I can sell them for metal, I am beginning to be able to see the back of my house.
I will take some photos tomorrow, I forgot to take before photos, but I think I have a couple older photos that can give everyone an idea what it used to look like.

Well this is what my back patio looks like now, all the windows and the sliding door were just shit I have had around here leaning against the house for years.

This is what it used to look like in the past, I really don't have any photos from the same angle.

You can actually see the window in the first photo just above the windshield of the ugly blue truck leaning against the house below the Kitchen window.

Man that was an ugly blue truck, but it ran and moved but had no brakes, it also had an awesome custom grill.

Great job! I think we're in similar mode. Time for everybody to clean up their own back yard...

It's kinda funny, now I am making more room for stuff, yet I am getting rid of everything I can, or using it so it is not leaning on something around here.
I burned scrap wood for three days straight, it was leaning on everything around here, now it is not.

I received an email today from a guy today, I called him and he says that the tire spreader machine is sold, he says he wants it and doesn't seem to care about anything about it other than it is sold to him, he lives in Yakima but has a tire warehouse in Portland and says he will call me when he comes to Portland, he kept telling me it was SOLD!
I hope he follows thru, as I was planning to scrap it if someone didn't buy it, the freaking thing is heavy.

It has to be painted, otherwise it will just rot, but that will not likely happen till the spring, first I have to prime it.

I went to the dentist a while back and had a cavity fixed and the tooth next to it prepared for a cap, so a couple days ago I went in to have the cap installed, they got it ready, put the glue in it, put it on my tooth, put the gauze thing in and told me to bite down on it and it broke in half, but they didn't see it right away even though I told them something broke, so once the glue dried, it was a lot harder to remove, but they finally got both pieces off and put the temporary back on and sent me home again to wait a couple weeks to wait for another new cap to arrive.
What sucks is that there were a lot of folks in there that day, and it was a waste of time for both of us.

Well I have not been feeling good lately, I had a really bad headache, well really it was just the right side of my head, and it wasn't a steady headache, a pulsing one.
So a couple days later I started getting eruptions on my skin under my right ear on my neck, I went golfing that Friday(last week), at first I thought maybe I had an abscess on this one problem tooth(right upper) I have that already has a root canal a long time ago, my golf buddies asked if I had chicken pocks when I was a kid, I told them yes, they suggested it might be shingles, so I read up on them and all the things that could happen, I went to the doctor a couple days later.
The doctor said it was shingles, I told her that I wasn't sleeping(couple hours the night before) and how much Ibuprofen I was taking, she gave me two prescriptions, one anti viral and the other I don't know, it might be anti-inflammatory, neither was for pain, and she then told me to stop taking the ibuprofen, now I told her I had been taking it for decades, but she insisted that I use Tylenol, so I went home.
I went to bed that night, and at 5am I broke down and took 600mg of Ibuprofen because the other stuff didn't do a thing, I maybe got 2 hours of restless sleep that night after the ibuprofen kicked in, I received a call from the doctor asking how I was, I told them I was worse(more rash/pain), and that I had taken more ibuprofen because the Tylenol didn't do a thing, they suggested Aleve, so I went and bought Aleve, it didn't work either, I didn't get any sleep that night at all no matter how much ibuprofen I took.
I was at the dentist a while back and she was telling me about how someone in the government was emailing her about not prescribing pain killers anymore and she was kinda complaining that people wanted them and what was she to do, she said that only surgeons could prescribe them now I didn't put it together that day.
So the next night I just took the ibuprofen but it didn't help, I felt myself almost fall asleep a couple of times but I would jerk out of it, I might have got 10 minutes of sleep that night, now keep in mind that I am not sleepy during the day either, I just feel bad, I don't yawn or anything like that, I just try to find a place to sit or lay down that doesn't cause me pain, over the last 3 nights I may have got 3 hours sleep total, while laying there in bed one has a lot of time to think about why one cannot sleep, I have come to a conclusion, the doctor I went to could not prescribe pain killers either.
So I suffer all night because of Obamacare, if you are not rich, you get to suffer, I suspect that Heroin is going to be the popular drug if nothing changes, I would have used it a couple nights ago and I have never used it before, I know who I have to thank now.

I didn't know it could go that low on the body, most of what I read said it was above the waist, but I also remember torso being mentioned, but only on one side of the body.
It affected my head, neck, ear, all around the ear, upper shoulder, and upper chest all on my right side, the neck and ear are the most painful, it feels/felt like I badly burned the side of my head/ear/neck.
I suppose having on ones butt would be an issue, not being able to sit down and all, but if there is scaring which is possible, at least it would be out of sight, I am likely going to be alright, and if I do have scars, they will mostly be hidden by my most of the time un-shaved face, but I hope my tingling ear is not nerve damage though which is possible, it's very distracting, it makes me want to scratch it, but it hurts to touch it.
Can you believe that it was required to have the chickenpox vaccine, which gives you the shingles virus, although this is not what happened to me, I got chickenpox when I was a kid.
I have to say, the headache that I had wasn't that bad, but the skin rash is brutal, I can say that a toothache is the only worse thing I have had, but I could go to the dentist and get that fixed in one day, this can't be fixed in a day, and I had/have no pharmaceutical pain pills around to fall back on which sucked big time.

I am making room around here, I sold the 1970 Datsun 521, I sold an L20b I have had for a while in the shed, and I sold a broken pressure washer water heater, stuff I don't need or wasn't using.
I still am having issues with the shingles thing, my right ear always feels like a bug is crawling on it, I am always trying to scrape the bug off, and my neck hurts and itches at the same time, while the whole right side of my head sorta hurts like I have a slight headache, and it takes an hour for the Ibuprofen to work, I am passing about 3 weeks for this now, I really cannot say that I am better than yesterday, but I can say I am better than last week, improvement is slow.
