dat77sun's 1982 720 build
Re: dat77sun's 1982 720 build
Was a very successful weekend. Still a lot of grinding and cleanup work to do but the new front crossmember and axle hanger mocked up!

When the only tool you have is a hammer every problem starts to look like a hippy.
Re: dat77sun's 1982 720 build
Started working on it again. Nothing picture worthy just some cleanup grinding

Been busting ass on it a lot lately! Frame cleaned up. Frame extended 3 inches. Hanger welded on. Goal is to have it on its own weight by the end of the weekend!!!

Haha that it does. Make sure and give it a good shake down when you're done. A couple of the new leaf hanger welds don't look like they went deep (could just be the pic)

All the welds got deep penetration and heat. It'll get a good shakedown run.

Well guys. I redid the shackle hanger but that was about 3 weeks ago. Life's been in the way lately. Things are starting to slow down so I'm hoping I can resume work

I didn't sell the truck. Got most of the sas done. Went through a period where I wanted something older and fast so I toyed with selling it but never could go through with it...

Good for you. Keep that fucker going.
I sent a local Datsun owner your way at work.
Told him to say he was with Hidden Valley Auto and to use that account.
