Welded nuts to the inside of the door .... so I can hide the door mirror holes, and not bend the holes with big sheet metal screws:

I didn't want to waste base coat on the inside of the trunk ... so thanks to some forum, I found a satin rattle can that matches very close, and then cleared it:

I was super nervous about scratching the paint, and I let everything cure for 5 days, but I had to start bolting on panels, just to get into the garage:
