Almost the last of the concrete today. Garage floor is done as well as outside the front door. Also, the framers got started.
Pics later when postimage is back online.

I keep looking at this house on top of the hill as a castle, and your going to sit up there and lord over your domain.
All you need is a turret/tower on each corner and maybe a moat with a draw bridge.

Can we just pretend the canal is a moat?

I forgot about that canal, but every movie I ever seen had the moat right at the outer walls with a draw bridge at the entrance.
The photos that make me think it's your castle are the ones from below looking up, but you need turrets with long multi colored flags on top of them.
What are your plans for below the house.

I know, it's ridiculous  .

No real plans for the field below the house. It's about 2 acres that was previously just horse pasture. I'll have to fence it before I'd be able to bring in any animals. Probably just keep it mowed for now.
The steep bare dirt just below the house will probably get a couple rows of grapes. The bare dirt above the house will be graded a little smoother after I get the retaining wall done. After that I'll plant some sagebrush starts and just let it go native.
Once the mobile is hauled out I'll still maintain the yard and the trees. Planning for an RV pad where the mobile is now. It'll be a pretty nice spot for friends and family to crash if they're passing through. When I finally get around to a shop it'll go just south of the yard with the door facing uphill.

Middle pic above, on the hilltop in the far distance, to the left of the gable peak, what is that? Noah's Ark?

Either way that's a shitty view. :troll:
