Middle arrow, houses.
House is looking good. Gonna be a very nice palace when done.

Thanks, man. It'll be nice to have a garage again and a basement to store my junk. Or I guess I could just have less junk.

Yup. Progress won't seem so dramatic from here on out.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet
Is that a second level deck on the east side/down hill side?

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet
You have a lot of mosquitoes in that area, or is it too dry.
At least they are working on it, if I was working on it I would likely be whining it's too cold, it's too wet, it's too something negative.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet
Not a lot of mosquitoes around here, certainly not this time of year. Biggest complaint from the framers was a windy day up there. There was a dusting of snow Saturday night but they worked around it. It doesn't rain much here and they're used to working in the cold.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet
I was more or less asking about mosquitoes in the summer when you would use the deck as it is facing east and in the wind shadow of the hill in the evening during a normal NW/SW wind, it is always some kind of west wind in the evening.
The national weather service is kinda weird, during the summer in eastern WA any wind under 40mph is termed light and variable, when one flys hanggliders it is nice to have something a bit more detailed than that, but they had a guy that stuttered on the air when I was listening on the ham radio in the 90s, so we basically used it to find out if and when it might rain.

If I had to guess it'll be enclosed in some form or fashion. Be it screened in or glass.

Nope. Wide open.
The decking has been delivered. I'm not sure about the color now. It's dusty out here when farming activity is underway and I have a feeling it's going to look filthy all the time.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet
The uglier the color the longer it will last, pumpkin orange lasts almost forever.
Once it gets dull you will get over it, I think the worst part about dark decks in particular is the trails that get created from walking in the same spot over and over, since it will be in shadow most the day I don't think you will be able to see the dust most the time, only in the mornings when the sun is hitting it.
The dog claws will do more damage that anything else.

Water on the deck isn't a bad idea. Plumbers start next week.
They started installing it today.
I had a job in Pasco yesterday and they got it wrapped and started installing Windows and sliders.
