I started on the box a couple days ago, it appears to have been munched on the right rear corner, I dug over a half inch of bondo out in one area, I removed the right rear taillight housing(cut it out) to be able to pound in that area on the back side, it is a lot better now and I covered it up with bondo-hair and then bondo, it's not near as thick as it was, I am almost happy with that area now, but I still have the front right to work on and then fill all the spot weld indentations where the inner wheel fender is connected, then I get to start on the other side, oh and I ran out of bondo, I think one more can will finish the box.
The other side is not near as bad, the reason I removed all the bondo I could was because it was cracking and I needed to spot weld the rest of the rear skirt onto the stock skirt above it, there was almost a half inch of gap/bondo in that area.
I was told my computer is fixed and it has Windows7 on it, I will pick it up tomorrow, hopefully I can start posting photos again, the guy already tested the SD card in it and said it worked fine.

Looks really good! My dad had an NL when I was a little kid about that same color.

I am on my fixed computer right now, it has the Windows7 operating system, I am using a Google browser instead of an old IE browser, other than having to call the guy to get Windows to start/load everything works fine now so far, I also had to put my keyboard into a different USB port than it was in before as it would not work in the port it was in before.
A lot of stuff looks different now, my Gmail account is really different, but I will get used to it.

I had to go with a light color as I am not very good at bodywork(bondo and such), I would have it slightly more blue if I had it to do over again, but this color is just fine with me.
It is just an old truck with lots of damage, more damage than I thought it had when I bought it, now I do not feel as bad about making it a kingcab, when I first bought it and said I was going to kingcab it I got some flack, some were saying I was going to ruin another classic survivor, everything I have modified has been in not so great shape when I got it, this truck was the same as the others, but it ran, the others did not run when I brought them home.

Oh, the other side of the box is almost as bad, this whole box was hit in the past and now it is warped and the sides pulled away from the inner fender wells and that caused the spot welds to pull in the sides and it made indentations, a lot of them, of course me adding skirts didn't help either.
I am just going to do the best I can and prime and paint the outside of the box before it rains hopefully.
I am going to go look at another box next weekend, I might hold off a few days on the paint until I look at that box, I suspect I will buy it if the tailgate is good, as the 320 inner fenders are the same as my 520, so one of the boxes will get parted out, as I need the inner fenders to cover the holes in the bed from the frame notch I did on the 520, but I don't have the box yet.

When I got this computer hooked up and seen it I didn't like it either, I had the guy on the phone at the time, he tried to change it but it is what it is, I was used to the IE version of my Gmail which I didn't like at first either, I could see 20 or more single line email messages before, now I cannot even see 10(they take up too much space), but I will get used to it.

There is a setting for that. At the top right of your Gmail, there is a "settings" cog. Click that, and then "Display density" at the top of the list. I switched to "compact" to stuff as much as possible on the screen.

I don't have anything like what you just described Jacob, I have the 3 dots that opens a small window and 3/4s of the way down there is a settings, but when I click on that it opens a new window that has stuff like passwords, payment methods, addresses, and some other unrelated stuff, I will get used to the way Gmail is, it's not a deal breaker.

I worked on the box a little this morning, there were these holes in the box side sheet metal that I had no idea what they were for, so yesterday I cut these little square pieces of sheet metal a little larger than the holes, I held them in position on the back of the holes and I welded the holes up, then I decided to grind the little squares off the back, it worked alright I guess, yesterday and today I cleaned up these welded up holes(12 of them) on both sides, the outside I did a good job, the inside I really didn't care as long as it was fairly smooth.
I also took a wire wheel to the inside of the bed to smooth it out the best I could, as I am going to prime and paint both, it looks a little better every day, but it is not going to be the best quality, as my standards are not that high as I am not that great at body work, 50 feet away it will look great.

Well that was interesting, I had not seen that icon before, I was looking too high at Google Chrome rather than my Gmail account, and the guy that installed Windows7 on this computer didn't catch that either.

I didn't do much today, I bought some sand blasting media after doing a small job(gutters and treatment), I then blasted all the seams of the inner fender wells and bed to box side seams, then I put seam sealer on everything inside the box except where I could not reach.
I put the tank in and made a brace for the filler neck, then I removed it all and will prime/paint these pieces separately, the tailgate has also been removed, I believe it is ready to prime, maybe tomorrow.

OK, I primed the box today and it looked terrible, it was very rough and it had sanding marks in all the spot weld dimples I filled, I had to fill them again also as they were still slightly low spots, so I spent some time doing that and fixed some other stuff also, then I sanded with 320 grit with the orbital sander, then primed the sides again and it looks way better.
I will sand it again tomorrow afternoon by hand with either 320 or 400 grit(need to pick more up 400 grit and paint also) and either paint it tomorrow or Saturday.
I have a question, should I paint the inside of the box with paint and then bed liner later or should I just put the bed liner over the primer?
The box is really rough inside, it's on that side of ugly but it looks better one color, at least I think it does even though it looks way rougher that in looked when many different colors, I think to have the inside look better I will have to use a better box, I am supposed to look at that other box Saturday, but it was going to be more a parts box, if it has a good tailgate I will likely buy it, plus it would get me the inner fenders I need and have been looking for for years.

I was asking because I can likely get the outside of the box painted pretty quick, get it inside mounted on the truck where it is dry, then deal with the liner later, but if it would be better to paint the inside first and then put the liner in it I can do that also, the more layers the bed has the smoother/better it will likely look, but if it will not seal the bed any better, then why waste the time painting it.

The bedliner will be the sealer. If you aren't going to paint it, just keep it dry until you line it. Primer isn't a sealer.
