I believe it's a quick disconnect for the driveline/rear end. I think it's for regular towing?? I dunno but I want it gone to a better home
The engage/disengage pullknob??
The rest??
Did you remove it?wayno » Thu Mar 24, 2016 4:07 pm wrote:I have one of these on the 520 low rider, I finally gave up on it as I could not get it to work properly

I removed everything except the driveline itself, that I left in the truck, if I want to I can jack the back up and disable the driveline by hand, the only way to steal it then is to tow it, or jack it up and enable the driveline again, most would not know what the issue was and just think it had a blown rearend.Eagle_Adam » Thu Mar 24, 2016 5:43 pm wrote:Did you remove it?
Thanks for posting pics, that's an interesting piece. Yep, made for "dinghy towing" I'm sure. I've seen Jeeps with lock-out hubs at all four corners, and other arrangements, but I hadn't seen one of these before. I knew about them, because most folks don't want to disconnect them manually - and use bungee cords to hold up the driveshaft like I've done - so it's neat to see one up close.Eagle_Adam » Thu Mar 24, 2016 4:34 pm wrote:I believe it's a quick disconnect for the driveline/rear end.

If it was already on my truck I'd be keeping it just cus, but with a shortened driveline for the KA I'm not interested in adapting it overDRIVEN » Thu Mar 24, 2016 5:21 pm wrote:I have absolutely no use for that but I think it's pretty badass.

Here is what mine looks like stripped down, all that's left is the driveline itself.Eagle_Adam » Sun Mar 27, 2016 6:14 am wrote:Wayno
I'm curious what all I can get rid of since I'm 80% sure there won't be any takers for it. Got any pics of how that truck sits now?
I have no idea, I suspect it must have something, as when it is being towed the rearend pinion flange spins while the driveline does not spin/move.DRIVEN » Sun Mar 27, 2016 10:39 am wrote:Is there a bearing inside that spins when it's disengaged?
