And this is up for grabs if someone wants it....

I believe it's a quick disconnect for the driveline/rear end. I think it's for regular towing?? I dunno but I want it gone to a better home

The engage/disengage pullknob??

The rest??

I have one of these on the 520 low rider, I finally gave up on it as I could not get it to work properly, it would come out without issues, but I could not get it to go back into position and stay there for driving.

Did you remove it?

I have absolutely no use for that but I think it's pretty badass.

I removed everything except the driveline itself, that I left in the truck, if I want to I can jack the back up and disable the driveline by hand, the only way to steal it then is to tow it, or jack it up and enable the driveline again, most would not know what the issue was and just think it had a blown rearend.

Thanks for posting pics, that's an interesting piece. Yep, made for "dinghy towing" I'm sure. I've seen Jeeps with lock-out hubs at all four corners, and other arrangements, but I hadn't seen one of these before. I knew about them, because most folks don't want to disconnect them manually - and use bungee cords to hold up the driveshaft like I've done - so it's neat to see one up close.

I hope you find a good home for it! :)

I'm curious what all I can get rid of since I'm 80% sure there won't be any takers for it. Got any pics of how that truck sits now?

If it was already on my truck I'd be keeping it just cus, but with a shortened driveline for the KA I'm not interested in adapting it over

Also if I could con/pay/ask nicely and get you to tack this crack up for me I'd be stoked

Not quite sure wtf I got on the air cleaner but brake clean wouldn't even take it off :/

Ended up finding some polish in the garage that did the trick tho ;)

Much better now :)

It's all the small details that are starting to pile up now, but man is it starting to really come together!!

Once again my mom for the win! Her eye for crafty type details far surpasses mine and when it comes to detail work with a pen/paint brush she's got me beat hands down.....

It's all good tho, cus this is the final outcome for the gear selector "housing" or whatever u wanna call it

Bonus internet points when you catch the obvious Adam touch ;)

The fan shroud that came with the truck was all cracked up and less than par....

So I left it off

But of course I ended up finding one so it got a coat of plastic paint and installed

Center console got some fresh paint too!

Ended up finding this sweet sheet of white plastic in the trash so I ghetto rigged a painting area I won't have to clean later :)

Even the hood trim got some primer and paint :D

I'll get Pics tomorrow when they are dry ;)

Here is what mine looks like stripped down, all that's left is the driveline itself.

Is there a bearing inside that spins when it's disengaged?

I have no idea, I suspect it must have something, as when it is being towed the rearend pinion flange spins while the driveline does not spin/move.
You know I never thought about that before, in my situation it doesn't matter, to me it's just a anti-theft device if I choose to use it, and it's not an easy one to use without the rest of the hardware.
