If you really want a 63 over a 60 I will trade you, I will likely feel guilty for a while, but I will survive.
For some reason your comment didn't show up before. According to banner the 63 is stronger and quieter, plus it doesn't require modifications to the trans mount. I may take you up on the trade, I'll have to check and see if the seals I ordered will fit a 63. I got a couple things to prep for install
I don't want to take advantage of you, so I want you to understand that the MG guys don't want the 63A because it is big and heavy while they want the 60 series because it is small and lighter than other transmissions, I belong to the MGE forum and there is a thread about this subject, they are using some small Ford transmission for the Moss kits now as the 60 series transmissions are hard to find and very expensive now as are the MG overdrive transmissions.
The 63 series 5 speed is a good transmission for a small car, it is a terrible transmission for a Datsun truck with an L front case on it, it worked in the 200SX car behind the L20b as it is a light car also.
What I have here is a package, I have everything from the flywheel(inc bolts) to the driveline going to the rearend, I bought it all from some guy in the Puget Sound area.

I found an mg forum discussing the 63 vs the 60 and I looks like you're right wayno. They actually claim the 63 isn't good if you plan to load the car down on the freeway too. Thanks for the info, I think I will stick with the 60a. From what I've read it seems like the best trans for my build.

Well I did my 5 speed swap. Everything went pretty smoothly. I made a quick crossmember for the trans and was back on the road. It is a bit noisy through the gears, but it's been sitting. My 4 speed was noisy till it had been back on the road for a couple weeks too. So I think it's fine
Old 4 speed
Ready to go in
Quick crossmember for now

Awesome.
When I first saw this car at Adam's place a few years ago I never would have thought it'd ever be back on the road. Nice save.

Thanks dude, I kinda thought it was going to hit the road sooner but between both Adams and izzo this thing was almost a daily already. I pretty much have just been doing upgrades and small fixes. Next up will be my su's tho, I just got new floats and gaskets from z therapy in the mail

Just got a new set of 521 bumperettes in the mail today. I'm not sure if they'll end up on the front or the back. But I saw some on a 1200 and they looked good. Also didn't hurt they were a smoking deal.

I've seen that car in person. It's a pretty believable fit. Seems I've seen '68-'72 Corvette bumpers used as well.

Yea it was just a couple weekends away from being a driver. You guys all did good work, which is exactly why I knew this was a good build to take over. I really appreciate all the advice and parts sourced. You guys s all rock.
Last night after an oil change I decided to remove the front bumper and tuck the back one. Looks pretty good.

Picknpull got in a b210 finally! I scored big with this one. I got a 75 dash in really nice shape with a glovebox. Also found the trim pieces meant to go with a two knob stereo. Got a set of stock door mirrors, which I may use or sell. Also got steering column trim and climate controls. My original controls broke when I was checking them out. Than finally the cherry on the cake, a factory clock! Really didn't expect to find one, but I'm excited to have it.

I think the last time I saw one it was a two door 6 years ago. My dash is nice but the one I pulled is almost perfect. I'm glad I was able to go check that one out

Picked up a roadster dual choke cable, this should do nicely

That one should be long enough.
