Fought a broken manifold bolt on my dad's GMC. We both got pretty shamed by the whole ordeal but finally got it out and chased. Managed to save the threads though. I've never been good at these repairs. Found 3 cracks in the manifold once it was off so a new one is on order.
Found more stuff to put on Craigslist too.

I never really put all my bikes to bed for the winter so since it was nice today I pressure washed the TWs, lubed them, and ran them out of gas. Then tucked them in the corner of the shop.
Backed the Chief out, fired it up and warmed it up. Then ran it out of gas before parking it for the winter. I'm seriously considering selling it in the spring.
Also, disco chicken horde wandered through my yard this afternoon. I counted 14 and it looks like at least 4 of the babies are (noisy, obnoxious) males.
Washed a couple cars too.
And lastly, I'm still not dead yet.

I went over there this morning and helped take off the hood so he could work on the hinge. Came by later in the afternoon and helped him put it back on. Then he took it for a drive. Seems to be A-OK. He's had a chance to inventory everything that came with it and will probably put some of the loose parts back on and generally tidy up. Honestly, I wouldn't expect much action until fall-winter. We're getting into riding season and he spends a lot of time on the road with his New Balance outlaw buddies.

Did a couple rides last week between jobs. First was with my dad and his buddy. They did surprisingly well for a couple 70+ dudes who haven't ridden offroad in many decades.
Two days later I charged the Pelican Point airstrip with two different old guys.
But on our way back up the gulch things got complicated.
One guy got hurt and we had to leapfrog bikes back up the draw. Not a big deal, we handled it. It's much steeper than the pics represent.
It was just slow going for that section.

Yep, looks like a lot of fun. I’ve got to get my quad back out and start riding it again.

I'm just collecting parts right now. Should have it together and swapped by spring. It'll be nice to have a little more torque but mostly I just want the extra gear so I can gear to cruise faster than 50.
