Got the 720 cleaned up and pushed out into a spot.
And got the 610 parts put away safely in the rafters
So Then the 610 came in for engine removal, it's a good running l20 but I can build another and I'm short on space...
So it's headed to big Schlink!
The truck will hopefully be back in the garage by Friday... Gunna be a busy week

I have a hammer handle I use. Has worked on 4 chains thus far. Im not a fan of wedging the chain. Just stopping the tensioner from coming out at all.

The "wedge" I have does exactly that, goes down far enough to stop the tensioner from popping out

I've spent the last few weeks with the 720 in the garage and it made me lazy....
But it's done(outta my garage and onto its new home)
Had a couple hitch hikers the other day
And this guy decided to chill the whole ride home

Since I was on a roll I figured I should probably address my lack I breaks....
One of my two favorite ass to see up in the air
.
.
.
.
.
Rear diff was leaking
So it got new fluids and a wipe down
Onto the brakes!
Which for the first time ever from a PO looked good!
Newer shoes and cylinders
So I adjusted and bled them.....
Only to find out I'm missing an ebrake cable on the pass side....
But whatever, one side works ill address it when I do the rear disc swap :/

ever get your lack of brakes figured out?

yup, after readjusting the rears and bleeding the system again im back up to par and as of this morning(unlike previous attempts) i still had the same brake pressure when i started her up this morning so time will tell. If it hold then i can move onto the rear disc swap.

It could have been the rears all along maybe? When the rears are adjusted in(think of the shoes going inwards, away from the drum) More fluid is required to run to the back of the brakes, and will cause the pedal to be closer to the floor before it works. there for if you pump the brakes, it will build up the fluid going to the back and make the brakes work like they should. soon after you don't use the brakes they will return to shit state. with them adjusted properly, the brake pedal should be right there at the top. Discs will eliminate that BS.
Canby 09 I lost my brakes unless I pumped. Someone told me exactly what I just wrote, i giggled and said that don't make sense. Naive I was! I can tell when my brakes need adjusted by the pedal getting closer to the floor before they work. Speaking of, they be due for adjustment again
Working in seaside sucks, 589234890890 stop signs (damn near every block) so I use my brakes more often then the gas pedal it seems. Have to adjust them every few weeks.
