I do believe that you can use early 620 brake cylinders, but you have to use the bleeder housing/assembly/hoses from the 521 and run the 620 banjo bolt thru the 521 bleeder housing/assembly.
The brake lines ect. are SAE on the 521, while they are metric on the 620.
On my 1974 620 the brake fittings are SAE, not metric
... most of the vehicle is metric, but not all of it
!

What I'm asking about has nothing to do with threads of any kind.
The adjusters slide into a slot.

I don't know what that means.
Rear adjusters off. Soaking in penetrating oil. One adjuster free and workable. One, not so much.
Rear cylinders blown. All lines rusty. Plans is to redo the entire rear circuit with all brand new stuff.
Left the fronts alone. They were tight and I have yet to have an issue with them.
Found a rental house too. With a garage even. Crunch time is upon us.

The front probably wants a Klotz kit.

If it doesn't, I know I do.
And I also want klotz to make a rear kit as well.
Trying to spend as little on the brakes as possible.
Spending more than the price of converting is just moving backwards.

What about the rumor that Toyota truck IFS (80s) fits the front end with just a 1/4" steel plate as an adapter? We framed swapped my friends Kyles 521 before I could figure that one out.

Parts ordered.
New shoes, hardware, rubber hose, and cylinders for the rear.
I'll have to hit up Baxter's for the rest of the few things needed.
I will clean and machine the drums at work tomorrow.
