Raced a Cadillac CTSV at lunch yesterday. Lost handsomely. It was quite fun.
I couldn't remember the specs so I looked them up. Only 640 supercharged horses to my meager 210-220 crank. That thing sounded absolutely awesome! I'm not normally a Cadillac fan, but I'd drive it.

I’ve always liked those. Like a 4 seat Vette. (Although I don’t really care for Corvettes)

So I ordered an ebay turbo for the RB today. I researched adding a slight bit more boost. (Just 2 psi) and the consensus is even with the RB25 turbos, they're all ceramic bearings and above stock pressure the ceramic shatters. Consequently I'll be putting on a standard bearing turbo that should work better with a little bit of prep cleaning out flash casting and cleaning up the wastegate port. Then I'll set the wastegate actuator at 12 psi and re-install. I've also thought about a better intercooler. Might go back to my original idea of a water to air setup. Thinking about relocating the battery to make space for the air filter and run a proper intake duct. Lots to think about and it will probably be a bit before I do it, but there you go.
Only 2 psi increase should be acceptable to run with the factory system. Might get another 20 hp, and then if I get the intercooler and air filter better, that will help as well.

Threw the power steering belt on the way home from work today. Don't know where it went, never heard it, but it's definitely not there now. Looking up the goofy 3 rib belt I need to find. Going to have to dig through this thread and see if I wrote the part number down anywhere.
Yeah, found the page. But I didn't list the belt number for some stupid reason. Narrowed it to two. I'll order both tomorrow and see which fits.

Power steering belt that fits the 3 rib PS pulley and the 4 rib crank is 25-030365! There we go. Think I'm using a 240sx pump, can't even remember now.

Can't forget the sizes now. I also went a couple of sizes smaller on the alternator belt which was squealing every time I started it.

If it wasn’t for the blue painters tape I’d say that looks like a factory install.

Lol, that's for the wad of paper towel I have over the AC lines. I still need to have custom lines made and connect them to the ac and make that work. That is on the list. Ordered an aluminum radiator today. The same "race" version I put in the Z car that works really nicely. It's a little wider, but should fit decently with a bit of modification. When I do that I'll work on a better fan shroud for the electric fans too.

Get those AC lines made. Spring is here. Summer is around the corner.

Well I was supposed to put the weather stripping on the hard body. But I decided I wanted the boost gauge hooked up instead.
At least I got something done. Pain in the estimate anything in this but I managed to take one of the trim holding plugs and put a sheet metal screw on that and it works just great to hold the gauge pod.

Alright, on the way home I stopped at the store and the temp went up. I blew a 10a fan fuse the other day and replaced it with a 15a. That's blown, not good running around with no fans. Plus this radiator is not pulling enough air because even at 62 degrees, rolling down the street easy doesn't cool it hardly at all. Got the radiator coming, figure I have a crap fan possibly too. Either way, need to rectify that. Good news is I haven't over heated it, but it's gotten to 3/4 and that's too hot for comfort.
I also found boost creeps off. It does a solid 10 psi and even 11 at 3-4k, but at 5500 it's at 9, and at 6500 it's at 8 psi. Hopefully the new turbo will fix that problem and carry boost all the way to redline.

New turbo should solve all you cooling problems.

Of course, why wouldn't it?!
That's why I'm looking at upgrading the fans and radiator first.

I got the Altima dual fan setup for the hardbody, but it's been mentioned for 280z. I may see if that fits. If so, I have a shrouded good dual fan unit ready to go! We'll see when the radiator gets here.

Happy birthday to me! I had a long arduous day at work although everybody was super nice and I got birthday balloons and all sorts of things. My boss even gave me a really nice bench made folding knife, although that was for a 2 year anniversary it just happened to coincide.
Got the turbo for the wagon and then on the way home stop by Walmart and got a folding Beach lounger. It's very nice. Feeling appropriately run down I guess hope I'm not getting old.

Thanks man!!
Funnily enough; me, an uncle, and a cousin are all March 28th and we’re all 3 left handed.
Tell Rose Happy Birthday from all of us.
