Ordered my door seals today, first step for sealing my floors is making sure the constant waterfall is stopped lol
They’re coming from Thailand, hopefully the shipping is fast and the quality doesn’t suck. I guess it’s worth the risk lol

I put Thailand door seals on my car. Never an issue with them. They dont see much sunlight so they stay fresh, unlike a windshield seal.

Awesome, good to know. So far I’ve been fairly satisfied with parts from Thailand. Hopefully I can get the rest of my seals soon too. But I’m thinking suspension and breaks will need a decent amount of work first.

Well I’m on a role, I just ordered some 240sx camber plates so I can lower the front. They should bolt in, but adjustment will be reverse of the 240

So today I replaced my starter that has been on its last leg for a long time. It still didn’t help much tho... I’ll have to look into it more later. Then I swapped out the thermostat because the temp has been inconsistent. It’ll run cold then a little hot then normal when I’m moving. Still didn’t change, so next is the water pump. But I already got a new one, just have to put it in when I have time. After all that I messed with my filters and got them fitted better. Right now I’m just reading write ups for front suspension, hopefully ready to order parts soon.

What's the starter doing?

The solenoid will go but it won't spin. Then it will lurch 1/4 cranks then full then eventually it works fine. Maybe a relay?

I didn’t check the magnet with my rock auto order because I always get some 90s vw. But this time I got a cool little 411! I’ve never seen a Datsun one before lol

Well I figured out the starter issue. It turns over and starts right away if I hold back from turning the key all the way.
My camber plates and door seals came in this week too. I installed the door seals today and I gotta say it’s a big change. I can really feel them seal hard when I shut the doors now. I ordered them for a 210 coupe since I couldn’t find the B210 coupe seals. I just st had to relocate some of the clips and they were a perfect fit.

I’ve been researching coilover kits for my front end allot lately and I think I’ve come up with something magical. I’m picking up front struts from a 69 510 tomorrow to cut and re weld for short inserts. This should be easy for be because at this point I’m pretty highly certified as a welder. Then I was looking at the ground Control kits, which are good... but I can do better. For roughly the same price I’m thinking about getting Swift 225Lb 8” springs and either qa1, Koni, or another adjustable sleeve from $50-$110 depending on what I decide on. Which puts the total at a possible low cost of $220ish. With swift having so much usable suspension travel and quality I’m very excited, especially since ground Control is 240 right now.

Well good things are happening. I was talking with Leacaon about my front suspension and it turns out he had some ready to go 280zx struts he wasn’t going to use. They already have collars welded in place and adjustable inserts. All I need now is springs and sleeves to go low the right way. Got a great deal and spent a couple hours talking Datsuns and checking out the ca goon build. Today was a good day

Jacob has always been good for some Datsun gold when it comes to his parts stash.
Ed has been sneaking me pics here and there of your car when it arrives at Adam's for work.
Loving your progress. Keep at it.

When my parts come in I’ll post them, but I went a little nuts ordering things haha
Hell yea! I’m glad Ed has been around, now hopefully we can talk him into another Datsun lol

Haha yea, he’s usually around and pretty helpful. I don’t have allot of time with my shift at work, so I threw an offer out there to tune my sus so I I could get going quickly. Hell they run amazingly, he said a decent tune but it’s like night and day compared to the Webber.

Now onto my new suspension. These came in today and holy shit they’re cool. They’re nos performance knuckles that change role center and adjust caster and camber. They also correct steering angles for a lowered performance suspension. They came packed in an original box padded with newspaper adds dated 1980 with full instructions. Holy shit these are cool

Nice! I bought an old NIB header like that. The packaging paper was cooler than the part inside.
