I ended up cutting out one of the vents by hand to get an idea of the look, unfortunately the copper can't be cut by the laser.
I had wanted to get this vehicle finished by Canby but that is so not going to happen. Looks like the B210 again this year.

Lot of stuff came up, work and in-laws and shit. My boss pulled some strings and got a contract extension for another year at work so I'm busy but not worried about being out of a job. I've barely worked on the B210 even. This is the first weekend which hasn't been insanely busy and I spent Saturday at the Datsun BBQ in SF and today at the PNP. Picked up a spare set of 280zx struts to rebuild for the B210, will probably shorten them and put the coilovers I have on.
Also have something special coming for the 1200....
These are my absolute favorite wheels for a 1200...however the wife doesn't know I bought them yet

Im not saying lie, but if the time comes that she asked "where did you get those?" And you naturally have the urge to say "I had those for a while, just painted them", I wouldnt blaim you at all.

Actually, I don't lie, I just usually say nothing unless she asks. However, currently my mother-in-law is staying with us taking care of the youngest kid so she will probably be the one intercepting the package so not going to work this time. So I'm going to use patented excuse #2 "Honey they were on sale for a good price, remember I told you if I found some on sale I was going to buy them..." "You don't remember? Remember I told you....blah blah blah Datsun..."
Because the thing is I did tell her at some point I was going to buy them, along with about a 100 other things I know she tuned out

There is a saying about permission vs. forgiveness.
I believe it applies here.

Someone in another dept abused the shipping services at work so we are now forbidden from receiving private packages and everything gets tracked now

Engine is in and mounted to transmission. Still need to get all the bolts to mount it right and then bolt it to the crossmember. Probably not going to get a lot of time to work on this until near Christmas.
