(ok well maybe I do with my new tools. Oh yeah, I got new tools. I need to pose those) haha.

well shit. I can't figure out what's making a clank noise
I thought it was the upper ball joint. which was really bad. I replaced it, took it for a spin. Still makes the noise. It's sketchy. Seems like when the suspension extends like coming up over top of a hill or certain whoops in the road, is when it does it. I pried on stuff and can't find anything that is wiggling. All the bushings look fine. Wiggled everything.. can't figure out where the clank is coming from. Bottom ball joint has no play in it.

Yeah, I don't think it has anything to do with drive drain. Thinking suspension...

That's what I was thinking too. Something with the front drive axles. CV joints?…

Don't think so. It's a clunk.. Instead of a constant ticking like an axle usually does. seemed nice and tight. Shrug.
Haven't figured it out yet.

Check for recent contact of axle to LCA, UCA to bump stops, tie rod to sway bar, UCA to shock body. Maybe its the sway bar...

Checked for anything I could. Rub marks, clean spots etc. I can't find anything.

lol. that was a vibration, the popcan.
This is clearly a noise coming from up on front driver wheel area. Bearings seem tight too, no wobble.

Does braking seem to affect your noise?
I chased a noise on a Chrysler minivan for a while. Turned out to be worn out caliper slide bushings. Caliper would clunk on bumps.

It seems like its when I turn left, or come off a bump. Turning left makes the suspension extend, same with when im coming off a bump or over a hill onto a flat spot. Ill wiggle the brakes around a bit and check on them too. Probably be a saturday project. I will take some pics of everything. See if maybe can spot something I'm missing.

Well. It is still there at random. I don't think I've noticed it as much lately. not sure, been to much shit giong on lately.
I need to get that patch sent to K-trip. Sorry for the patch delay
So up next on my shits... My garage. I need to get down to the DMV this week and get that black truck titled and gone. I sent an offer on a trade. My quad for a 620 king cab in portland, it's an automatic and has a canopy and roof rack.... We'll see what happens with that.
Anyways, my garage!! I am in the process of planning it out. I am getting my blueprints drawn up for my work bench. I may redo it with some changes, but for now the basics of it is complete and measurements are done. 2x4s, 4x4s. the 4x4s will be the legs, the 2x4s will be the beams. I will probably be doing 12 on center across the table part with 2x4s. I am going to do one sheet of 3/4 plywood for the table top. I have not decided what route I want to take from there. I do know I want to throw another 3/4" piece on top. The route I will take is either... Just screw it down to the bottom piece, and have it replaceable. Or, coat it with some thick ass laquer or what not to make it shiny and durable for years to come.... It wouldn't get oil soaked that way and last longer I believe. Jury is still out on that one.
It will have a back on it. At first I was going to build an enclosed cupboard area. But, I am re-thinking the idea. I may just leave it as an open shelf. It will make the work bench not quite so high. It will still hold the same shit and maybe even a little more. and then I can easily move it out should I ever move... The height it is now, It would be a real bear to get out as it wouldn't clear the garage door. By leaving it open, and still building at least the shelf. I still get my storage and I get a spot to hang two 3' lights.
This is just my first design. I may change it and scrap the whole idea. I have been reading like a mad man and looking at threads over at Garage Journal. I like a lot of ideas there. I may do pegboard for a back just to have some extra hanging space for tools I use a lot or what not. I may also change up the bottom design and implement a few bottom roller tool cabinets. I just don't know yet.
For the cost of this. Right now, not including the lights. It should be a cheap-ish build. I haven't counted exactly how many boards I will need. But I'm ballparking 100 bucks. Maybe just over. Seems like a good price for a work table. I was offered one for free two weeks ago. But the problem is, it was in portland and I am here. I just couldn't get down there when they wanted it gone.
Obviously this first rough draft design isn't done lol. Doesn't show the 4x4s going up the back side, cross support on the table part blah blah..

Talking to a buddy of mine. Need to hurry up and get that pos black truck out of there... We are gonna start turning cycles out of my garage. nothing major, no schedules... just find cheap shit at our leisure and sell things for a few extra bucks.
There's a lot of good deals on CL. Super nice road bikes for 250 bucks. Ran when parked 3 years ago blah blah... Some polishing, maybe replaced a few odds and ends.. Then list it for a grand and let it sit tell it sells. Like I said. nothing major, nothing to support ourselves on so there is no pressure... just make a few extra bucks here and there.
Road bikes, dirt bikes, quads... Doesn't matter... Just stuff we can find cheap and flip.
