it sounds like fun. Now I'm thinking I've got 2 good reason's to go, #1 go to Rat's and Dat's meet on Saturday, #2 stay with my bro in Springfield that evening.

Then hit Canby on Sunday, then head home that evening. Plenty of time to figure out the details.

And why the F would they polarize so many with having their event on the same weekend? That leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I'm kind of with you on that. Seems in poor taste to put it the same weekend unless they were told specifically by the club that Canby wasn't happening. I don't care about Datsun politics even a little. Sounds like a cool event though. I'd probably add a couple categories if I were organizing but I like the sound of the venue.

What is Datsloco? Seriously, I don't know. I've seen stickers but didn't know if it was a club or vendor or what.

I don't really understand this, I could see starting another meet in the spring, as the one that was at the Auto Repair Garage in Hazel Dell is no more, but to start a meet on the same days as Canby, well it sounds like someone is pissed off at someone else, and I don't see the reason for making folks choose between the two.
It actually kinda upsets me, as if someone gives me an ultimatum of choosing here or there/them or us, I will almost always go with the one that doesn't make me choose.
All this will do is split the Datsun community and make it less, Canby is a fixture to me, just like Blue Lake, and other Datsun meets that are too far for me to travel like Shasta, Shedd, which are both Roadster meets that do not turn anyone away no matter what Datsun/Nissan they drove there.
People drive from several states/Countries to meet up at Canby once a year, I like meeting folks that drive hundreds, if not thousands miles to come to Canby, I likely will only see these people once a year, it's a shame to sully this with personal drama if that is the reason for this, and I don't care who started it.

Shasta opened up to other datsuns last year...

It's all stupid ... and makes Ratsun look even more childish.

There is a lot of back story.. Not sure having it on the same weekend is a good move. But, it's going to be a lot of fun.

DNW is in shambles at the moment. They have some issues internally.

That being said.. I'm torn. I love Canby... I do not like DNW. But I don't go because of their club... I go because it's fun.

The whole thing really started from DNW's involvement with the raffle truck from last hear. Long story.. lots of politics. Al decided he was going to make the donation to the charity from the club that built the truck and not associate DNW. Al got sick.. made arrangements with the school to do a presentation and donate the money.

Blah blah.. DNW threatening lawsuits and calling out Al. Meanwhile Al was in contact with Steve the whole time. There was no resolution..

It's messy. Don't forget we are all on this forum because we didn't like the choices or direction ratsun was headed.

More meets/shows is a good thing but leave the politics and division at home.

Its a great idea,but date is all wrong.

I like going to the Datslocos meets, Loren and Al are awesome dudes, but wow that was kind of fucked to have a show on the same weekend...
Im asking for time off for Canby this week, i dont want to attend a show that does something like that, not right in my opinion..

just talked to some datslocos people, they say it was not done on purpose, not to piss people off but they say it was the only weekend they could get.

There are 52 weekends a year. Really the only weekend and the only venue? I call bullshit.

it's always the second weekend in June, every year since it started.

Yeah I had a conversation with one of the dudes, don't care to say who, but it is starting to look like one of them did this just to be a dick...
