my dads been driving it to work every day, says it need the brakes looked at(its got new shoes and springs all around so just an adjustment/bleed) but other than that hes loving the 5 speed and the sound of the truck Gets lots of looks and has co-workers asking about it

Well.......

I killed the datsun on the way home(I've been driving it for the last 2 days cus of a mystery noise and fluctuating Rpm's)
Ended up being a sheered off dizzy bolt :(

Jessi came thru with tools and a timing light!

Back on the road and back to normal again

Damn that's crazy havnt heard of a datsun doing that lol. at least you got it back on the road

since im going to be using my dads truck as a DD while i do my KA swap i figured a once over and quick tune up were in order

retourqued the head bolts
checked the valve gap
oil change
new belt
topped off the anti freeze
re timed the motor
and tweeked with the carb a bit

runs like a raped ape..... for an L motor with a weber it scoots good!



also replaced the broken hazard switch

then i went to find out why the truck started pulling to the right really bad on my test drive.......

seems like i found the issue :/

brand new fucking shoes ><



so looks like ill have to do front brakes this weekend :(

fixed the breaks this weekend, new shoes and a fresh bleed!

also go the horn working and a new bench seat installed!
