Also, if you decide to replace the cabinets (rather than refinish/reface) check with Parr. They had the best prices when I did mine.
Yeah, if I wasn't working on the house all the time... I'd have a lot more time to work on the 510(s). I usually spend most of my weekend working on the house... when I get tired or frustrated I go work on the 510 to relax a bit. Once I get the windows done I'll be taking a break for a while. Hopefully until mid spring. We'll see though.

That is hilarious, he works on his 510 to "relax a bit", I relax by doing something that is not aggravating, like taking a walk, or going for a drive, going to a garage sale, going to the wrecking yard to look around, watching TV(not the news), cleaning the house, sleeping, anything other than working on the car/truck, but once the auto work is done, the reward over shadows the aggravation, so I work on them, but it's not to relax.

Yep, first place.

 Thats a good first house. Piece by piece it'll come together. Then you can just enjoy it & relax (until something breaks lol)

I can't wait for that day to come! lol.

The deal is... I can't stand to pay someone else for stuff I can do myself. Stuff that is out of my league.. or is a true art.. I leave to the pro's.

Also, add to the todo list.. Fix down stairs shower. It leaks under the house from the shower pan, which is custom. So that means.. complete demo of the tile shower and a do-over. Not in a rush for this one.. but it will be nice to have completed.

To Do list...

- Finish installing windows and patio door
- Finish new dog kennel
- Finish painting the trim
- New fence for the yard
- Replace carpet in the house
- Do something with our awful outdated cabinets throughout the house
- Seal the garage floor
- In ground sprinklers
- Demo and model down stairs shower
- Awning cover for back patio

I know its kinda late since you've already replaced the windows but maybe it'll help someone else(or it may still help you, I dunno). look up indow windows, Portland based company that makes window inserts that pop in and out, but basically turns every window into a storm window, reduces noise, reduces energy costs, keeps the house warmer in the winter, etc. etc. etc. cheaper than buying new windows, but gives you close to the same advantage, if not the same advantage, of buying new windows

Dryers can be pita(at times) when you fix it,Make sure to always keep the vents clean as heck(they last longer(dryers)
The lint just plugs everything up.

If it aint one thing.. it's 27 others. I'm pretty sure that's how the saying goes around here.

I should mention my dryer vent.. is like 20 ft long.. or more. It's a dumb design.. I don't have any way of cleaning it myself at the moment. I should probably get someone out here to dewwitt.

So.. when my dog decided to help me remove the old curtains.. he left 3 huge holes in the wall... from the anchors being removed. Thanks dog... but you doin it wrong.

I took some time today to fill the holes with drywall patching compound. Will sand... texture.. prime and paint when time allows.
