Re: Odd Noise I.D.?
something got effed up.
Did the cam not stay in place and slide? Find any chunks of anything up in teh head? Wonder if there is something floating in the oil pan. Maybe a missed washer was laying in the valve train? IDK buddy. New head and you probably golden, pony boy.

Re: Odd Noise I.D.?
Yeah idk. No chunks so far. I don't think anything got left in there. I will have to drain the oil and see...
Hopefully I can fix this or find a new head soon!

Re: Odd Noise I.D.?
Ok, so ended up being the #2 intake valve was bent, So bad that it wouldn't come out by hand. Tapped it out and the guide cracked . The #2 exhaust valve was also bent a little.
Took it to the machine shop with the extra valves I got from Mike. Ended up being a couple of my other valves were just slightly tweaked, good thing I got those extras. So he hot tanked the head, grinded the valves & seats, and replaced the cracked guide all for $50 Oh and he had it all done within a couple hours
Put it back together tonight, Cams on just didn't get a pic. Hoping to have back on the car and running Sunday, Miss my car...I HATE THE FOCUS

Just for future information Derek, if there ever is a next time, if you figure out that a valve is bent, instead of hammering it out and losing the guide also, just cut the end of the valve off, it's trash anyway.
But things worked out anyway.

Re: Odd Noise I.D.?
Cutting.it off would have been.a good idea. Valve had been ruffing the guide up a while tho. Peace of mind that its changed.

Re: Odd Noise I.D.?
I wanna know what happened. When you take the bearings out, please with a sharpie write on the bearing which number it was.
Im wondering if that silver stuff in the block did it in.... Or the L16 oil pump... or what ever else it could be. The bearings will say.
